Once we left the house we were walking for a while. I didn't have a watch or any way to keep track of time but it seemed to be about 30 minutes before Ghostface even said we were getting close. Soon we arrived at the edge of a small forest. I recognized this place because it was near my elementary school. I used to pass it everyday driving there with my Mom when I was younger.

"Where are we going now?" I asked

"There's a house on the other side of this forest, it's about five minutes away. That's where my next victim is.. well our next victim." He replied as he started leading me into the dark tree line.

before I could reply he spoke again.

"oh and, put your mask on please.  I don't wanna get caught because of you"

"your mean" I said playfully while slipping the mask over my head.

he laughed then continued walking.

Soon I was able to see a small light coming from a house in the distance.  Soon we arrived to a bigger house in the middle of nowhere.  We were standing in the back of the house still hidden by the trees but I could see large windows on almost every wall.

"This is it?" I spoke

"yup, this is it." He replied before pulling a small flip phone and some kind of white box out of his jacket.

"what's that?" I asked

"This is what your going to be doing.  I am going to go in and kill but your going to scare them a bit first" He replied handing the things to me.  "the numbers already typed in, just press call when your ready."

"Oh and,  This is a voice changer" He explained pointing at the small white box.  "press this button and hold it in front of your mouth when you speak"

"Okay.. What do you want me to say?" I asked.

"Anything, just scare him." He replied. "i'll wait for your signal, then go in and finish the job. just give me a thumbs up or something, I'll be waiting at his back door"

We looked at each other, I could tell he was trying to tell me everything would go fine.  even though I mean this is what I signed up for.

I watched as he slowly crept away from me towards the door.  He was very quiet, so quiet that if I was being followed by him I wouldn't know it.

I took a deep breath looking down at the number on the phone.  Above the number to read "Joe Smith" I guess that's the guy we going after.  But I wonder why him?

As I pressed call and the phone started ringing my heart started beating faster.

"Hello?" The voice on the other side spoke.

I stayed quiet,  I didn't know what to say.

"Hello??" The voice spoke again growing impatient.

I raised the voice changer to my mouth as I spoke.

"Hello" I replied, I was shocked at the way I sounded.  My voice sounded distorted and deeper, But to be honest it sounded kind of cool.

"Yes, what can I do for you?"

"How are you doing?" I spoke

"I'm alright.. who is this?" He asked

"I don't know, How about you tell me?" I replied.  This was starting to become fun.

"Well unfortunately I can't tell you that, you have no caller ID" He answered

"Well who are you?" I asked.

"Why do you want to know that?" He replied.

"Because I want to know who I'm looking at" (I hope you guys get the reference lmaoo)

"What did you say?" He asked as I could see him looking around through the window.

He was standing in the kitchen leaning on the wall.  He looked to be in his late 30's.

"I want to know who I'm on the phone with" I tried to sound as innocent as possible.

I looked over to see ghostface with a larger sized rock in his hand his gaze switching from me to the man in the house.  What was he going to do with that rock?

"Sorry I must be hearing things, I could have swore you said something else" He said. I could tell he was starting to feel a little on edge by his body language.

"Can you do me a favour?" I trailed off

"yeah, what is it?" He replied

"Make sure to smile for the camera ok?" I spoke while giving a thumbs up to Ghostface.

The last thing I heard before I hung up was a confused "what?"

With a swing of his arm Ghostface threw the heavy rock though the glass on the back door.  It shattered in a instant and the glass went everywhere.

I watched as Ghostface ran into the house quickly, knife clutched in his hand.

I put my head down when I heard the mans screams of pain coming from the house.  I didn't want to see what was happening.

When the screams got quieter and I could tell he was dead I looked up to see a terrifying sight.  The kitchen walls were decorated in the mans blood, he must have put up quite a struggle. I sat down against a tree as I was starting to feel overwhelmed and light headed.

Soon I heard footsteps coming up beside me.  It was dark but I could tell it was ghostface because of the way he was walking.  Soon I was being pulled up to my feet.

I looked up to see the ghost mask covered in splatters of blood.

"Hey, Hey you ok?" He asked grabbing my face.  I was still wearing my ghost mask so he couldn't see how overwhelmed I was but he definitely noticed my heavy breathing.

I leaned into one of his hands.
"I'm ok, Can we just go home?" I asked

"Yeah I did everything I needed to, we can go" He grabbed my hand as we started walking back through the forest.

Despite everything,  I felt safe.  In some sick way I enjoyed what I had done.  I felt like I was going mad.
