27. Problems

The next morning:

I woke up later than usual (it was a long night if you know what I mean😏). When opened my eyes and looked at the clock it read 12:46pm. I sighed stretching a bit before turning over and realizing I was in bed alone. It was a bit strange but I just figured Danny must have got out into the living room.

I sat up and got out of bed, then I opened the bedroom door and walked down the hallway. When I got the the living room I was expecting to see Danny but he was nowhere to be found. I looked in the kitchen too not finding him anywhere.

"Danny?" I call out and waited a second, But there was so response.

I shrugged it off and sat down at the kitchen table, He must have just gone out to the store or something.

As the minutes past though I started to become anxious. 30 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour. Still no sign of Danny.

I shouldn't be getting this nervous about him but it's unlike him to not leave a note or something telling me where he was going.

a hour and a half went by and I was now watching tv on the couch trying to distract myself by watching the news. I wasn't really watching though, I was more thinking about where he could be. That's when my thoughts were interrupted by the front door swinging open and somebody walking quickly inside.

"Danny?" I said jumping off the couch and walking towards the person that had entered.

It was Danny, He was wearing his ghostface mask but he quickly took that off when inside. He didn't pay much attention to me at first. He seemed upset, scared almost.

"Danny are you ok? where were you?" I asked following him as he quickly walked towards the kitchen table.

He didn't answer. He threw his mask on the table and putting his head in his hands covering his eyes. He looked stressed.

"Is everything alright? what happened?" I asked slowly walking up behind him and putting a hand on his shoulder.

He mumbled something under his breath.

"What?" I replied

"Shut up Y/n! I need to think right now!!" He shouted pushing my hand off of him.

Shocked by his sudden outburst I stopped talking and just watched him.

He leaned on the table with his head still in his hands.

"Dammit" He said under his breath as I heard his voice break a bit.

I tried to figure out what was going on. The mask, The way he was acting.

Did he go out stalking a victim? If he did why is he so upset? and why did he go in the morning?

I asked him again in a calm voice trying my best to calm him down "Danny, what happened?"

He stayed leaning on the table but he spoke to me "I'm so sorry Y/n.. for bringing you into all of this."

"What do you mean?" I asked and he stood up make eye contact with me and stepping closer.

"There's a detective, Casey green, Shes on the ghostface case and she's on our tail. If we don't kill her tonight we will be caught by next week." He sighed

"How do you know?" I asked my anxiety rising quickly.

"I have been stalking her to get information on the police and stuff like that, I got a bad feeling this morning and when I went to check she was mapping all the evidence out and she's getting scary close to the truth" He said nervously

I covered my mouth in shock. From what I know Danny has always been really good at not leaving any evidence at the crime scenes, so how good is this detective?

Danny pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have given you that mask or made you help me kill. Now if we get caught your going to have to pay the price too and that's the last thing I want"

I let go of him
"Danny, You didn't make me help you it was my choice. I love you ok, I always have and I wanted to help you."

He smiled a sad smile

I then got a little bit of motivation

"You said we had to kill her tonight right?" I asked

He nodded.

"Alright so we will, and then we will burn all the evidence" I said, a new feeling washing over me. It felt like instinct, I knew what I had to do and I was going to do it to keep this relationship safe.

Danny smirked slightly and then agreed.
