Commander Fairborne walked through the GI JOE base as Ultra Magnus drove up and let some JOE vehicles out. She walked to the big bot and smiled at him. "Ultra Magnus, I take it you are well?" He transformed and knelt down to her and Duke, "Eh...Mostly... The attacks across the universe have me worried for earth. And of course the few Decepticons that came with us after Dark Cybertron... Some work well, others... They can't live with their sins-" Just as he finished his sentence, Deadlock walked by. He looked lost, deep in his thoughts. Several JOE members and Autobots looked at the con. He payed no attention to any of them as he walked on. Deadlock went to rest his hands behind his back but all he felt was his gun. He flinched and transformed as he sped out of the base. He raced out of the secret location and into a freeway zipping through traffic. He sped off of a bridge and immediately arrived at Autobot city. He threw his gun on the ground after he transformed. He stomped on it and slammed his fists into it as he broke down. Deadlock screamed in anguish as he growled, the memories of his past and all he had ever killed played in his head. All their faces, their names, the date he killed them, everything... He kept at it as everyone looked at him. Bumblebee kept Charlie back as Verity and Prowl walked closer with their weapons set to stun. "Deadlock...! Calm down dude..." Verity said calmly but this didn't stop Deadlock from bashing his gun into pieces. Kick-Over marched over, "Hah! Look at you! Crying like a sparkling... Do you even remember them?!" Wing-Dagger walked over with Kick-Over and Padlock. Wing-Dagger threw a kick at Deadlock as the con grabbed his leg and stood up slowly, glaring at him, "I remember everything about them..." He threw Wing-Dagger back before kicking Padlock and punching him into the ground. He turned to Kick-Over who smirked, "I've been waiting for this..." Deadlock growled as he slid to him and spun-kicked Kick-Over in the face. He jumped up and elbowed him in the face a few times. Prowl pulled him off of Kick-Over, "Deadlock! Stop!" Deadlock grunted and growled as he calmed down. He walked away to his Quarters as he panted and held his head.

A few hours had passed as someone knocked on his door. Deadlock looked up from where he was sitting on the floor. He pretty much destroyed his room but he still answered, "Come..." The door opened but there was no one there... or so he thought. He looked down and saw Buster walk up to him, "Hey. Mind if I join you?" Deadlock shrugged as Buster sat next to him, "Wanna move on from your past, dude?" Deadlock looked at him as Buster held up a red microchip, "Then get ready to fly..." Deadlock rose a metallic brow, "Why are you-?"
"Because I know what it's like be lost and feel alone. To quote a Sanskrit: 'From Darkness lead me to light... From Delusion lead me to truth...'" Deadlock nodded, "Lead me to truth..." Buster nodded. The two got to Perceptor's lab as Buster got Deadlock plugged into the machines. He put the chip in his head, "Ever watched those movies called 'The Matrix'?" Buster asked.
"Yeah... One of them... Why?" He looked at Buster who smirked, "Cuz you're about to learn a thing or two." He pressed a button on a tablet nearby. Deadlock's optics shut off before coming back on in 2 seconds. He growled and grunted as he looked around, "Kung-Fu... Holy scrap... It is like the movie!" Buster smirked, "Ready for more knowledge and truth?" Deadlock smirked and nodded, "Hell yes." He got uploaded more information and finally saw the beauty of life and everything in the universe. He woke up as Buster nodded at him. Deadlock stood up, "I wanna learn the sword and wave of the samurai." Buster nodded as he walked with him to the gym. There were a few transformers and humans in there. Buster had a prop sword and Deadlock used a laser to sculpt a sword from a log. Everyone glared at Deadlock. Bumblebee and Charlie tilted their heads as they watched the two. "You know the sword?" Deadlock asked as Buster nodded, "Got bored and wanted to learn it." Buster got into an offensive position and Deadlock got into a defensive position. Buster nodded and performed some strikes as a holo-projector copied his moves and projected an image for Deadlock to face. The image and Deadlock "clashed" swords as Deadlock and Buster stayed focus. Charlie smiled as Bee nodded, "Woah..." All of sudden, there was a voice shouting, "Hey! Asshole!" Everyone stopped and looked at Kick-Over, "Wanna have a rematch...?" He smirked as Deadlock narrowed his optics and spun his sword. He nodded and threw his sword aside as Kick-Over ran at him. Deadlock slid under his fist before jabbing him in the side and following it up with an elbow to his spine. Kick-Over hunched in pain as he grunted. Deadlock got into a crouching-tiger position as he let out a single breath. Kick-Over snapped to him and tried to punch Deadlock again before the ex-con blocked the strike and twisted his arm, slamming him into the ground. Kick-Over kicked Deadlock off him as he went to punch the con. Bee jumped him, "Dude knock it off!" Kick-Over grabbed the scout and threw him into a wall. Charlie ran over to be as Kick-Over glared at them, "I always hated how friendly you were scout... You always see good but maybe you should be shown the reality of the war! ONCE A CON ALWAYS A CON!" He was about to step on Charlie before Deadlock punched his face. Kick-Over fell to the ground and glared at Deadlock before the con smirked, "Wanna see a con?" Deadlock cracked his knuckles, "Here you go." He started kicking and beating Kick-Over. Everyone just watched as Deadlock made no faces. No smile, smirk, scowl, nothing. He kneed Kick-Over in the face as the bot fell to the ground, laying in his own energon... "Never... Try... To kill a human..." Deadlock bowed and walked off with Buster before helping Bee and Charlie up.
