The Dead Universe

Optimus awoke in an unknown place. It was desolate, filled with destroyed buildings and plains of barren wastelands. He grabbed his gun and started walking around. He didn't have the Matrix but his Elite Guard training was helping him as he snuck through the city with ease. He looked down at his body and noticed it was his cybertronian form. He shook it off and walked on as he heard some footsteps. He hid behind a building as he saw two transformers walk by dragging a corpse of another transformer. Prime kept an eye on them before continuing his way through the desolate land. He searched for more beings as he saw some creature walk by. He was very confused before seeing a huge portal, like a wormhole open in the sky and a large ship crash landing in this odd city. Prime quickly transformed and drove off. He kept his lights off as he looked for a way out of the city. When he did he was presented with what looked like the sea of rust. Few buildings, collapsed roads and destroyed ground. He sped on as he kept his guard up.

Hot Rod and his team were navigating their way through the universe as they all just checked the Radars for anything. Until of course a wormhole opened and sucked the ship into it. Hot Rod rushed for the controls as he and Skywarp did their best to steady the ship. "Elita! Get the others to ghe escape pods! NOW!" Elita nodded as everyone started to run, "What about you two?!"
"Not until we land this thing!" Skywarp shouted as Hot Rod nodded, "Go! We'll catch up!" The team ran to the pods as they launched out and followed the ship. Hot Rod grunted as he pulled the control back with Skywarp's help. The ship crashed but it wasn't as badly damaged as other ships get. The two panted and got out as they inspected the vessel, "Oh boy... This'll take forever to fix up. Landing gear and controls are fried..." Perceptor looked at it all and nodded, "I shall work my magic. I'll need the schematics however." Hot Rod pressed his earpiece as he sent the information to Perceptor. Jazz walked over, "I'll stick with Perceptor. Two bots can get more work done." Hot Rod nodded as he looked out at the city that was destroyed. He pointed, "Optimus is this way. Autobots! Uh... Decepticons? Transform!" Everyone transformed with him, "And Roll Out!" The Autobots drove as Soundwave drove with them in his S.W.A.T. S.U.V. form. Skyway flew with them as Hot Rod sped towards the city. "This place feels... corrupted... Like a sickness is in it..." Elita drove with him, "Keep alert everyone. Maintain constant communication at all times."
Everyone shouted in unison: "Right!"
They kept driving the vain hope of finding Optimus Prime.

Sideswipe watched the ground as he saw them driving through. He tilted his head and called someone, "Hey boss... You will not believe who just drove through here..."
"Gr... Who is it...?"
"Hot Rod and Elita-1 with a bunch of Autobots and two Decepticons..."
"Prepare to open fire on them, tell Goldfire to get close and watch them. I'm on my way."
"Gotcha Prime." He readied his sniper rifle as he aimed at the team.

Optimus looked around the desert as he overheard some engines. He ducked for cover as he grabbed his ion blaster and waited. The cars drove by at a quick speed. There were even some jets that flew with them. They looked like some sort of space vehicles as Prime stayed hidden. When they left the area Prime opened his scanner only to see that it was acting up. He grabbed some tools he always had on him as he started to work on it. He got it back online and saw some sort of dark energy near him and an organic lifeform ahead. It was in the direction of the other transformers. He stood up and started running before transforming into his truck mode, speeding after them.

Sideswipe watched as Hot Rod drove on. The young bot gasped as the Matrix told him something. "Turn now!" He drifted as everyone followed him. Sideswipe missed the shot and immediately called the others, "All units! Engage the targets!" He ran and flew off with his jetpack as Hot Rod turned another corner. Goldfire sped after him with some other transformers, "Where ya goin', Hot rod!? We just wanna talk!" Hot Rod kept driving, "What the hell are these guys?!"
"Cybertronian. But not of our Cybertron..." Soundwave said as he kept driving. "We need to lose them! Now!" Impactor shouted as he aimed his turret at one of the bots and blasted them. They exploded as the main team drove on, "Unbelievable!" Kup shouted before someone looking like Optimus landed in front of them, slamming his fist into the ground and sending out a wave of purple energy. Hot Rod and the others split up into two groups as they drove in different directions, "Prime!? What the-?!" Skywarp shouted as Hot Rod spoke, "That wasn't Optimus! He's something else! Darker!" Everyone gasped in confusion. Chromia sped up before transforming and jumping on Skywarp. He steadied himself as Chromia magnetized herself to him, "Keep flying!" She aimed her gun at the Bots coming at them as she took a few out. Skywarp chuckled, "You bots are crazy!"
