Chapter 3 The Proposal

Mr. Richard Won got a called from the hospital. He answered the call and a voice said, "Hello Mr. Won, this is Dr. Lee from the hospital, you need to hurry up and come here. There is so mething that I need to tell you about your daugther." With this the phone call got disconnected. Mr. Won panicked thinking whether something bad had happened to Jennie.

Hurriedly, Mr. Won left for the hospital. After reaching the hospital, he asked the doctor about Jennie, but the doctor instead of answering him, doctor asked to followed him. Seeing the doctor keeping mum, Mr. Won got scared and anxious, but he maintained his composure and followed him to Jennie's room.

"Dad, how are you? Did you miss me? See, I am absolutely fine now." Listening to Jennie's voice and seeing her talk, Mr. Won couldn't stop himself and ran to hug her daugther while crying.

Finally, Jennie had come out of a coma. Mr. Won was over the moon because of Jennie's recovery, with a smile plastered on his face, Mr. Won asked the doctor, "Doctor, how is Jennie doing? Is she fine now? Can I take her home?"

Listening to Mr. Won multiple questions, the doctor calmed him down by saying, "I can understand you excitement Mr. Won, however, we can discharge the patient after a week. Also, keep it mind the patient cannot undergo any stress and that she needs utmost care."

Mr. Won thanked the doctor, wished Jennie goodbye, and with a happy and relaxed mine left to back home. Finally, his loving daugther fine.

Meanwhile . . . .

Today was the day.. Lisa's happiness knew to bounds.

Finally, the day for her to confess her feeling to Karina was there. The day she even reached the venue for the party, four our in advance, when in fact she was invited to the party as the quest of honor.

The quest started arriving at the party, sucessful industrialists, businessmen, media personalities were all in attendance. Everyone wanted to meet Lisa, but Lisa was lose in her own thoughts to such an extend that she did not even realize how many businessmen she had already ignored. As some time had passed, Karina made her intrance to the party. Just as she walked in, all heards turned towards her, admiring her beauty. Meanwhile, Lisa was getting impatient to express her feelings for Karina with every passing minutes. After exchanging pleasantries with all the big personalities of the industry and after Lisa's long speech as the quest of honor, the party came to an end.

Once everyone left, Lisa blindfolded Karina with a black-colored cloth and led her to the roof of the building. It was a cold winter nigth, and the starts shimmered in the darkness as if they wanted to set the perfect mood for Lisa's proposal. Karina was confused as to what Lisa was doing and repeatedly kept asking, "Lisa, where are you taking me? Is so mething wrong? Say something please."

Listening to Karina, Lisa shushed her by placing a finger on her lips and said, "Don't asked any question, just follow me. I have a surprise for you."

On reaching the roof, Lisa gentlely removed the blindfolded from Karina's eyes. Karina open her eyes slowly anticipating what was in store for her. She was shocked to see the entire roof decorated with red roses. The roof was filled with several heart-shape balloons with 'I Love You' printed on them as they hung from the ceiling. Looking at the red roses around her, Karina couldn't control herself and excitedly remarks, "Wow Lisa,...this.. This is beautiful!"

She sunddenly stopped herself and asked,
"Wait a minute... Why did you bring me here? and what is all of this? Did you arranged this for me?"

Just in, Lisa got on her knees, took out a small box, extended her hand, and with a gleeful smile on her face expressed, "Karina, I want to say something from my heart, so let me talk firts. "Karina! from the moment I met you. I felt something! There was an instant attraction. I love spending time with you, Listening to you, talking to you.' "Karina Won!! Will you spend the rest of your life with me? I mean...I. I love you, Karina, will you marry me?". She open the box and in there, was a ring engraved with the most beautiful diamond rock Karina had seen.
