Wandering along the dark streets of Seoul, Kai and Taehyun made their way home after the school fair. The blonde boys eyes were glued to his phone, staring affectionately at the Instagram post that was put up only an hour ago.
"I meant what I said." Kai muttered.
"Hmm what?" Taehyun asked, shutting off his phone and slipping it into his pocket.
"No more stoners, that Yeonjun guy really scares me. He always offers me weed."
Taehyun chuckled, playfully nudging the younger. "I get what you mean."
"You and Beomgyu look closer." Kai definitely noticed Taehyun staring at the picture, he wasn't an idiot, he knew his best friend.
"That's a good thing right? I mean we do kinda run the club together." The blonde innocently replies.
Kai couldn't refrain from rolling his eyes, Taehyun was so oblivious. "Yep it's a good thing. I just thought that- never mind."
"Thought what?" Taehyun asks, cocking his head to the side.
"It's nothing." Kai shakes his head, stopping outside the convenience store. "I've gotta get some stuff for my mum, I'll see you on Monday."
"Oh okay bye."
Taehyun wondered why Kai was being so weird. If he had something to say, why didn't he say it? Taehyun felt extra curious now. Nevertheless, he couldn't ponder the thought for long, he had to get home.

"The fuck did you say to me?!" The boy spat in his face, tightening his grip around Beomgyu's throat.
He could feel the air leaving his lungs, unable to breathe any more in. Beomgyu wasn't the type to pick fights, yes he could be rude, but he'd rather just be left alone. Though, moments ago these low lifes wouldn't get out of his way, blocking the boy, cause they thought it would be funny. Beomgyu ended up losing his temper, shoving one of them out of the way and mouthing off as he tried to leave.
Now he was here, being choke slammed against a wall.
What a great night- he thought to himself.
"I said you're a prick." Beomgyu managed to whisper those words, with the last few breaths he had.
"You're a confident one, aren't you?" The boy laughed. Abruptly he loosens his grip on Beomgyu's throat, moving back to give himself enough room to kick Beomgyu in the stomach.
The pain felt awful, he hadn't ever been in a fight before. He couldn't even fold into his injuries, the boy still held his throat, making it impossible for Beomgyu to move. Before he could even think about it more, a fist careened toward his face, smashing into the space between his eye and nose.
"He got anything else to say?!" Another boy yelled, watching this whole thing happen from the sidelines.
"I don't know, you got anything else you wanna say to me?!" The boy snarled, tugging on Beomgyu's curly brown locks.
His foot steps were light, Taehyun wasn't really afraid of walking home at night. That was until he saw what was happening ahead of him. A group of thugs all surrounding one boy. Looking closer, Taehyun recognized the boy instantly, he had to help him.
"Hey stop! I have the police on the line, they'll be here any second!" Taehyun shouted, he stood a few meters away, holding his phone up to his ear.
He watched as the boys started to freak out, jumping on their bikes and leaving the scene. Once they were all gone, Taehyun ran over to Beomgyu, who was slunched over in pain.
"Are you alright?" Taehyun asked, breathing extremely heavily.
Beomgyu let out a small chuckle, which hurt really bad. "Nice lie."
"How- ugh that doesn't matter, lets get you home."
Throwing the boys right arm over his shoulder, Taehyun lifts Beomgyu to his feet. He wondered how Beomgyu knew that he was lying, but he had to focus on getting the injured boy to safety. After a little while of walking, Beomgyu was able to stand on his own.
"What happened back there?" Taehyun asked, watching Beomgyu limp beside him.
"Don't worry about it." Beomgyu states, not looking at Taehyun once.
"Why is everyone keeping stuff from me tonight?" The younger sighs.
First Kai, now Beomgyu. Taehyun felt pretty deflated, his friends didn't want to tell him anything.
"Omg! Beomgyu! Your face!" A girl squealed. She ran up to Beomgyu, grabbing his chin with her hand, moving his face around so she could see it better.
Taehyun couldn't ignore that she was really pretty, actually, she was really, really, really pretty. She had long, shiny, black hair, her skin was a soft pale colour, no blemishes anywhere. She wore blue, ripped skinny jeans, and a long sleeve black crop top. She looked amazing, but also extremely worried about Beomgyu.
"I'm fine, stop." Beomgyu pulls the girls hand away, Taehyun can't ignore that he's way gentler than he normally is.
"I'll take you home, where's your stuff?"
Beomgyu points to Taehyun, who's been carrying his backpack this whole time. The girl strolls over, reaching for the backpack. Taehyun unintentionally holds the bag closer, making the girl furrow her eyebrows.
"I'm taking Beomgyu home, give me his bag." The girl demands.
"Oh yeah sorry." Taehyun gulps, handing her the bag.
Taehyun felt helpless, seeing the two walk away. There was a pit in his stomach, he felt uneasy. Deep down he knew, he wanted to take Beomgyu home, he wanted to make sure he was safe. He didn't know who this girl was, or what she was to Beomgyu, but he did know that Beomgyu would rather have her take him home.
It hurt.
