Class President- Kang Taehyun

"Seriously Tae you have to go!" Kai exclaimed, chasing Taehyun down the corridor.

The boy was busy putting up posters for the prom king and queen candidates. "I went to Beomgyu's prom last year, I don't need to go again."

"You're only saying that because Beomgyu wont be there. I really want you to come, let's have some fun together." Kai said, pulling on Taehyun's arm. "He's busy with university, I get that, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't go."

Nudging Kai gently, Taehyun gets his arm back. He puts a thick layer of glue on the wall, before sticking a poster to it. "It just doesn't feel right without him."

"Do I really have to beg you? I want to spend prom with my best friend, C'mon Tae." 

Looking at Kai's puppy eyes, how could Taehyun say no? "Ugh fine, I'll go, on one condition."

"Omg I'll do anything!"

"Put the rest of these posters up for me, my arms are really tired." Taehyun giggles, shoving the pile of posters into Kai's hands.

"You really test me Kang Taehyun." Kai winces.

*Prom Night*

Taehyun felt weird being here, only a year ago, was he standing in this spot with his boyfriend. Now he was locking arms, with his annoying best friend, who begged him to come. His baby blue suit, really complimented his blonde hair, he couldn't deny his best friend had style.

"Thanks for picking out this suit Kai, how did you get it tailored so close to prom?" Taehyun asked. 2 days ago, Kai mysteriously turned up to his home, with a perfectly fitted suit. He didn't even stay to answer Taehyun's queries, he legit just ran away.

"I have my ways." Kai smirked, making Taehyun feel really unsettled. Kai never smirked, literally never.

The hall was decorated exactly the way Taehyun had imagined. He took full creative control of the prom, just like he did with everything at that school. There was fairy lights sparking across the ceiling, white, transparent drapes along the walls, pretty centerpieces full of blue peonies. Taehyun felt so proud seeing it all come together.

"Let's dance." 

Before Taehyun can even answer, Kai pulls him onto the dance floor. The music pounded in their ears, they felt it vibrate through the floor, their bodies just moved without hesitation. They just had fun, being silly together. The boys weren't attending the same university next year, so their future together was uncertain. But for tonight, they could just enjoy themselves, leaving all their worries behind.

After an exhausting round of dancing, Taehyun manages to pull himself away. He takes himself over to the drinks table, where he grabs a cup of punch.

"Taehyun! How's your evening going?" Principle Bang shimmies over, causing Taehyun to cringe a little.

"It's good sir, how's yours?" Taehyun replies.

"It's going well thank you." The man grabs one of the empty cups from the table, filling it up with punch. "The school's really going to miss you next year."
