V: A Rose Among Thorns
Third POV
It was 9 am, and every head and their closest subordinate(s) were in a large conference room, located on the 29th floor of the hotel. Naturally, the three families, Katsuki and now Izuku were all there.
Katsuki was at the head of the table, with Todoroki on his left and Izuku on his right, he scanned the room for those in the Nagamasa Clan only to see them at the opposite end table.
Mora Nagamasa in the middle, Camie to his left, and Seiji to his right. Rival clans meant each head at the ends of the table.
"As of this current alliance meeting, the removal and destruction of the Ketsubutsu clan have been finalized," Katsuki announced, with a tone of authority, not exactly bothered by the concerned looks.
"If I may," Saiko interjected, asking a question most people wanted to know, "Did Shindo withdrawal from this alliance, or was there some other reason he's not in coalition with us?"
Izuku looked down at the glass table, eyeing the sparkling stones on his engagement ring; listening to Katsuki give a brief, yet vague answer.
"He wasn't following chain of commands, and it was more than just time he had to deal with the consequences."
A solemn look was on everyone's faces. Without a doubt, they all knew that Katsuki had wiped Shindo essentially off the face of the earth.
Regardless if they agreed with Katsuki's decision to do so they stayed quiet as a sign of obedience to the man, not willing to put their mouth in a subject they most likely had nothing to do with.
That didn't stop them from thinking about it though.
A brown-eyed woman stared at Izuku, whose head had been lowered significantly from the start of the discussion of the abrupt dismissal of the Ketsubutsu group- how he'd eyed the ring on his finger.
She was more than just irritated at the connections she'd made in her head:
"What were the odds that the hinted at the murder of Yo Shindo and the destruction, now turned removal of his clan has to do with that mafia outcast?"
Her gaze shifted to Katsuki, whose attention was divided into two categories, which was completely unusual in its own right.
The viridian-haired boy versus everyone else at this damn conference.
At that moment the room fell eerily dead, until Nagamasa spoke up, "Well there's no point in dwelling on someone who's no longer a part of this- we all know the number one rule about it all."
"What's been done has been done. What had been said has been said." He started, allowing everyone else to finish it off,
"It's either you hang onto it or you let it die as pure business. Nothing personal."
Izuku thought about the saying everyone else in the room had finished, thinking about Shindo's murder was completely and purely personal.
But if Katsuki saw it as business, and those surrounding him did too, then he might as well believe it was business.
"Now let's move on to group profits and planned Takeovers," Yaoyorozu announced, pressing a button on a remote, changing the smart screens held high above their heads.
