XIII: Lowest Point
Third POV
The rest of the plane ride couldn't have been any more of a nervous wreck.
The tension seemed to thicken each time Izuku and Katsuki got near each other, yet not a single word was exchanged between the two- making it worse.
By the time the Jet had landed, it was 8:20 pm, taking another hour to hop off and get settled into the cars making their descent back home.
Everyone else assumed that they'd be better off keeping quiet but stuck to the sidelines in case things get messy.
And thank goodness they did.
. . .
They arrived home, the A unit preparing to grab their stuff and head inside- taking a long snooze and a relaxing day off, basically to settle back in after the jet lag.
Kirishima and Sero helped get Izuku and Katsuki's luggage out, also somewhat eyeing the couple who seemed madder then than on the plane.
Sero watched Izuku storm into the home, Katsuki following after him; That thin patience the blonde had; had officially been stretched too far, even with the likes of Izuku.
"Izuku, we aren't done here." Katsuki snapped, reaching out for the green-haired boy's hand to make him stop walking, even though that only resulted in izuku whipping back to face Katsuki.
"I already told you everything that needed to be said," Izuku shot back, trying to release himself from Katsuki's grasp like on the plane, "What more do you want from me?"
Katsuki pinched his brows in a downwards motion, "What I want to know is what the hell you thought you were doing- If you honestly expect me to allow you to walk off after such a vague fucking response then clearly the notes you've been taking have been nothing but a damn joke."
Izuku moved closer to Katsuki's face, "Then maybe they were."
Damn.
for one reason or another Katsuki just couldn't do it- normally, if any of his subordinates tried to talk back to him like that, they'd either get backhanded or be found face down in a ravine by authorities. But instead, all he could do was walk Izuku attempt to walk away.
"If anything I should be the one having this bitchy attitude you've been carrying since the plane ride back to which nobody knows why you have it in the first place," Katsuki grumbled, earning a snarl from Izuku as a response.
"Then I guess this would be the second time YOU don't notice something in front of you, "Izuku let out with a sharp breath, "As I said earlier, why the hell should it concern you if I'm with someone when you yourself do the same damn thing."
Katsuki watched Izuku finally turn back around, his eyes watering, the pesky memories of that night in the hallways got back to him after all.
"I saw you and Camie when you said you were 'going to the bathroom' oh please spare me; it doesn't take more than a couple of brain cells to figure out what she said and what you two did." Izuku finally shouted out, clenching his fists, " You, Uraraka, and virtually everyone else knew what she was like and her past but you didn't even try to warn me about it."
Katsuki stared at izuku who still had crystal-like droplets run down his now rosy face, listening to him, or rather how his heart had been hurting for the past few days,
"You're getting mad at me for being with Seiji, but when you have your ex-fiancee running around and telling me things like 'we have holes in this relationship' and 'at the end of the day the chances of you coming back to like you always do is high even if we get married' is totally fine? Really makes me want to put a bullet in both of your skulls."
Katsuki tried to move closer, but Izuku didn't want him to.
The boy wasn't scared- more like furious.
with the sounds of Izuku's whimpers and Katsuki not knowing what to say made the tension between them was higher than when they first met.
the blonde watched the green-haired boy look down at his left hand, where his engagement ring stayed proudly- the swirling thought of canceling this idea of marriage was strong for izuku.
he slowly began to loosen it- only to stop when Katsuki let out an order,
"Do not take off that ring, Izuku."
Izuku pulled his hand back, looking up at the blonde tthat managed to get closer to him to the point where he could smell the cologne, "Katsuki, I don't want to marry, no, be your possession only when it's fucking convenient."
Swiftly he grabbed Katsuki's gun that usually remained by his side holster, removing the safety and aiming it at a forehead.
He didn't need to look at the doorway, but he could see blobs running in, probably watching the entire ordeal from the windows- waiting from the sidelines to make sure nothing bad happened to their precious boss.
well, fuck it. fuck him.
"Midoriya, put the gun down." Kirishima ordered, "Do not make us shoot you."
All 1-A unit members had their guns drawn and ready to shoot at the green-haired boy who had Katsuki's gun aimed at his forehead.
it was strange though, no one had seen Izuku remove all 4 guns from Katsuki had been carrying throughout the entire day, yet the blonde just stood there unfazed, his red eyes trained on just Izuku's green ones.
Izuku shook his head, pressing harder on katsuki's forehead, a simple look of his eyes telling the blonde that he was nowhere near his state of hyper-fixation, therefore any means Izuku would've had to shoot the blonde couldn't have gone underway even if he liked it.
"Stand down." Katsuki simply ordered, stepping to the side as the others put down their guns still hesitant for their boss's safety.
At that moment Izuku snapped the safety back on, brushing against Katsuki harshly heading towards the stairs.
they watched his figure disappear around the corner, heading into his former bedroom and slamming the door shut, before sliding his back against it- letting out a sigh.
everyone else had left, Katsuki ordering them to leave despite their protest.
He wasn't scared of being shot by Izuku, but something else terrified him.
he was worried it would happen by he fell asleep but with the way things were he probably couldn't stop it.
Conclusion, this fight might just have been the lowest point of their relationship.
