it's like i was drowning and couldn't breath. hands were around my throat. i stumbled into the back room slamming the door behind me. leaning against the wall. trying to bring air back into my lungs. nothing was working.
then the door opened and i locked eyes with you. you were there in a second asking if i was okay. i tried to nod, to get out any word.
you held my gaze and started to talk about your weekend. you told me about how you went to dinner with your mum and dad and i saw your face light up when you talked about them.
you saved me that day. like you save me everyday.
