Over at Joannas house Freya was in the kitchen ranting about how perfect Killian is to Ingrid while Joanna cooked dinner
"This is honestly the best relationship ive ever been in" Freya boasted to her sister
Ingrid rolled her eyes playfully "I know Freya, its like the 5th time you've told me this"
Joanna chuckled as she chopped a cucumber into slices "Girls will you text your aunt Wendy to see if they are still coming over for dinner?"
"Sure" Freya said flipping out her phone
Ingrid got up from her chair "Im gonna go sit in the garden till the foods done, i need some fresh air" she smiled as she walked past her mom
Freya stood up to still texting on her phone "Ill come with" she said walking behind her sister "Oh Wendy said that they'll be over shortly"
Joanna nodded "Okay thankyou" she told her before they went out side
Joanna worked her way around the kitchen as she hummed to herself peacefully
That was untill the door bell rang
Joanna looked up "You can just come in Wendy!" She shouted thinking it was her sister
Joanna put down the spoon she hand in hand, and made her way to the door with a huff "Ya know you could just come in, I was doing somet-" but when she opened the door her sister wasn't there
The person standing on her doorstep was someone she hadn't seen in a very very very long time
Joanna stood there in shock, like she had just seen a ghost "M-Mother?" She gasped quietly
Joanna and Wendys mom smiled "Hello darling"
The color in Joannas face vanished, her mouth was wide open as were her eyes. She didn't say a word she just stood still not wanting to blink affraid that if she did her mom would disappear, she felt like her mind was playing a very awful joke on her
Her mother took a step forward making joanna realise that this was very real "What are you doing here" joanna ssid quietly
"I uh i was just passing through town and found out you and your sister live here " she looked at her feet "I know I have some explaining to do"
Joanna blinked a few times to try to bring herself to reality "Yea" she whispered "come in"
They walked to the living room and stood there thinking of what to do next
Before any other words could be shared the front door and Wendy, Tommy and Katie came through "Joanna! We're here" Tommy yelled from afar "Katie pick up your dolly" Wendy said with a sigh as they walked towards the living room
