A Highschool Secret

Chapter 8

*Haley P.O.V*

Haley saw Lisa walk out of the school building a few minutes after the announcement and the alarms started going off.

"Lisa! Over here!" Haley called out to her best friend.

"HALEY!!" Lisa ran to her and pulled her into a bone crushing hug.

"Can't.....breathe"

"Haha, sorry. Where were you? I was so worried! When the alarms started to go off I went to our usual spot and you weren't there!" Lisa raised her voice at her, not in anger but in worry.

Before Haley could respond to her friend a military truck pulled up. She looked around and saw students looking at them. Some were looking at them in awe others were looking at them scared, they were the druggies, and others were looking at them confusion written all over their faces. There were three people who were smiling and waving at them the same way someone would smile and wave at a friend. Those people were Lisa, Garret, and Dominick. The last two took Haley by surprise. Lisa didn't surprise her that much because she knew that Lisa harbors great respect for them and probably knows some of them with her dad being military and all. The military people, or Marines, were here for something to do with the technical stuff of the school. Thats what she guessed anyway because of the way they're dressed.

"-ey! Haley!" Lisa was almost yelling her name and waving her hand infront her face.

"Huh? What?" Hayley asked confused.

"Haha, welcome back to earth my friend." Lisa laughed.

Haley laughed and decided to play along.

"It feels good to be back."

A Marine walked up to Lisa.

"Miss Robinson?"

"Yes?"

"You are wanted inside."

She nodded and walked inside.

"Where do you think your going?" Kristianna asked as Lisa as she walked past.

"Inside" Lisa answered without emotion.

"Um, we are not allowed inside."

"Do you not see the Marine escorting me? We are allowed inside if we have an escort. Were you just not paying attention or are you just to stupid to hear?"

The Marine stifled a laugh. Kristianna shot him a look. He looked away and motioned for Lisa to follow. She did. Haley watched the entire thing, everything until Lisa disappeared inside the school building. Haley was scared now. Whenever Lisa left Kristianna always took the opportunity to make fun if her.

Here she comes. Haley thought as she saw Kristianna walking toward her.

*Lisa's P.O.V*

She followed the soldier inside the school. Once the front doors of the school shut, she stopped him.

"Your a Private correct?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Well then Private, I would like to know why you singled me out and almost blew my cover!"

"I'm sorry ma'am. My Captain just handed me a picture of you and told me to get you." The Private answered while shaking in his boots.

She left it at that. They continued their walk until they made it to their destination. She walked through the door of the classroom and counted five people plus them that made seven total.

If needs be this situation should be easy to get out of. Six people is an easy number to take on, trained Marines or not. She thought to herself.

She studied the Captain. Usually captains would welcome her and treat her like a friend. This one didn't even acknowledge her presence. That didn't sit well with her.

Something's not quite right here. She thought.

"Captain, you wished to speak with me?"

He looked up from the monitor.

"General Lisa Robinson. Thank you for coming."

It all clicked into place. The way he stood, the way he looked, and the way he talks sent little alarms off in her head.

It's him, she thought, it is the monster that stole my brother and sister away from me!
