A Highschool Secret

Chapter 2

Lisa walked into first period like it was just another day. She got a few looks, probably because of the episode that just happened out in the front of the school.

She sat down at her desk and pulled out her APUSH* folder. They had a test over the Revolutionary War today so she decided use the time she had left before class starts to study. She pulled out her notes and started reviewing. Not even five minutes later Mr. Popular, also know as Garrett, walked in to class. He didn't even make it two steps into the room before girls swarmed him.

"Girls, girls, let me at least get into the classroom." Lisa heard Garrett say with slight annoyance that nobody else seemed to pick up on.

As if ignoring his request the girls continued to fawn over him, but when he started moving to get out of the doorway the girls let him past and followed him. The classroom was loud before, but now it was complete chaos. Sadly this was the norm for Mrs. Hartwell's classroom in the morning.

Lisa, who is trying to study and already in a bad mood, was about to explode. When she explodes, which has happened once before, the entire class will be to afraid to speak for about two weeks. Even the girls who fawn over Garrett non-stop stay quiet during the two weeks.

Just as Lisa was about to explode in walked the only person who can stop it. In walked her best friend Haley. Haley, knowing her best friend well, went over and calmed her down.

"Hey Lisa, want some help studying?" Haley asked upon seeing Lisa's notes out on her desk.

"No thanks. I only wish everybody would shut up," she said the last part a little bit louder so that people would hear and get the hint, "so that I may study in peace."

A few girls stopped paying attention to Garrett to glare at her, but all she did was glare right back. Haley saw this and started laughing. Any of the onlookers could agree that it was funny to watch these girls get owned by Lisa in a glaring contest, but alas, all good things must come to an end. About hallway through their little contest the glorious bell rang, signaling that classes were starting soon. A lot of the girls left to go to their classrooms and the rest went back to their seats.

Everything calmed down as Mrs. Hartwell walked into the room. Class went on normally, well as normal as possible when you have a psycho for a teacher. Lisa could feel the glares directed at her all during the test. They didn't even stop when the bell rang.

They day went on normally, which Lisa was thankful for. Kristianna wasn't in second period, shocker. Mr. Hall wasn't here because he was to busy playing with his girlfriend. During lunch Lisa and Haley talked about all the new gossip and which girls had a chance at becoming Garrett's girlfriend, neither if their names were spoken during that part of the conversation. She had a quiz in Spanish and surprisingly, Kristianna actually decided to show up. In sixth period Mr. Gwinnett lectured them about how stupid they were again. In seventh Mr. White kept on getting onto the violins for screwing up. All and all it was a normal day at school, but Lisa could not shake the feeling that somebody was watching her.

Other than that this day was turning out almost the way she wanted it to. What would ruin it was what she would learn at work.
