A Highschool Secret

Chapter 17

   Lisa woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and awake. Something she hasn't felt in a long time.

"Lisa! It's time to get ready for school!" She heard her mom yell up to her.

"Alright, thanks mom!" She replied.

She got up, got dressed and went downstairs.

"Good morning sweetie."

"Mornin' ma. What's for breakfast?" Lisa asked looking at the food hungrily as her mother was prepared it.

"Your favorite!"

"PANCAKES?!?!?!"

Her mother nodded with a smile, and motioned for her to sit down. Lisa looked at her confused.

"Sit down and I will give you pancakes."

Her face brightened as she ran to the table, sat down, and watched her mother's every move as she came closer to her with a heaping plate of steaming hot pancakes that were drenched in syrup. Her Mom set them down in front of her and they were devoured within the minute.

Once her plate was licked clean, Lisa got up and put it in the sink.

"Bye Mom." she hugged her mother.

"Bye Sweetie."

Lisa grabbed her book bag and walked out the door.

She walked onto the Sherman High campus and was met with lustful and hateful glances. Lustful from the guys and hateful from the girls.

"Oh look, it's the slut that took Garrett's virginity away," she heard one girl whisper to her friend.

She ignored them and all the glances and continued walking until a guy came up to her and said,

"Hey babe, why don't you ditch him and be mine for the night."

She looked at him confused and disgusted.

"How about I just kick you in the balls instead? People like you shouldn't reproduce anyway." She said with a glare and walked off.

She didn't make it to far before a girl got in her way and started yelling at her.

"You jerk! How could you do that to him?" She yelled.

Lisa was utterly confused.

The heck is everyone talking about? First I'm called a slut, then some guy I don't even know wants to sleep with me, and now this girl is accusing me of something and I don't know what she's talking about.

"I - I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about," she said to the girl, trying to calm her down, but to no avail.

"Don't you play dumb with me! You know what you did! You took the chance away from me,  from all of the girls!" The girl yelled.

"I supposedly took what chance away from the girls?" Lisa asked starting to put two and two together.

"The chance to take his virginity away!"

A light bulb went off in her head as she finished piecing together the puzzle.

"You know everything thing makes a lot more sense now. Thanks person!" Lisa smiled and jogged away.

If it's this bad just walking into the building, I am afraid to figure out what's gonna happen when I get to my classes and in the halls.

Lisa visibly shuddered at the thought.

*Garrett's P.O.V.*

Garrett was walking down the hall towards Mrs. Hartwell's class when he was stopped by his friend Cory.

"Hey Cory, what's up?"

"Eh, nothing much. I do have a question though." Cory shrugged.

"Okay, shoot." Garrett looked over to his friend.

"I feel kind of awkward for asking this but, was she good?" Cory looked down blushing as he asked.
