When the water fight ended, we all gathered in the lounge, dripping wet. Yet, our spirits were high and our smiles were wide. That was one of the best times I have had, ever.
"Bruce told me what happened." Tony whispered in my ear as everyone discussed the amazing time they had. He leaned back and raised his eyebrows at me. "But nothing did happen." I argued just like a little kid. He shook his head and excused us, leading me out of the room.
Shutting the door behind us he turned to me. "Bruce said he found you two in Loki's room, laughing." His voice was a harsh whisper. I could barely hear him over the noise of the other room. I raised my eyebrows and said, "Oh, is laughing not okay then?"
He shook his head, "That's not the point, and you know that." His forefinger was now being pointed in my face. I took a step back and replied, "Look, I'm sorry, but you know something like that was bound to happen. We were practically playing hide and seek, but just with water." I said, with a sigh. He stared me down before nodding slowly, "Okay, it's just, I want to keep you safe Kiddo. That guy, well he is, bad. I don't want you getting hurt. My advice is that you stick with Rogers. It's a safe relationship for both of you." I stared at him in horror.
I stormed back into the lounge and sat down with a huff. The conversation stopped mid-sentence and turned to stare at me. I waved them off with my hand and the chatter continued, slowly at first but then it picked up.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Loki's head tilt and I felt his presence enter my mind. Trying to read my thoughts, are we? Apparently that doesn't go down well. 'I know. I was wondering what the man of iron was talking to you about.' Why didn't you just enter my mind and listen in while I was out there? 'Because I have learned how rude that is.' Good job.
He smirked and I felt a smile spread across my lips, unwelcome. "What are you smiling about?" Captain asked, leaning in and whispering into my ear. I felt myself blush. 'Yes, what are you smiling about?'
I looked over at Loki and he smiled a sexy grin. 'Still here you know.' He said in my head. Mentally my hand flew to my mouth and I gasped, but on the outside I feigned calmness and turned back to Captain and whispered, "When Loki wasn't looking I emptied my water pistol at him. His face was priceless." A huge smile spread across his face and he leaned back into the couch, content.
'Liar.' Loki hissed in my brain. Yes, that was a lie, but right now I really think you deserve it. 'You are speaking in jest, right?' Yes, yes, don't get ya knickers in a twist. 'Knickers? Excuse me?!'
Suddenly I couldn't hold it in anymore and I started to giggle uncontrollably. All eyes turned to me and watched me as I let out my hysterics. "Sorry." I breathed at last. "I just couldn't... I think I need to go to my room for a while." I quickly got up and ran out of the room, still giggling. In the hallway, I collapsed against the wall and suppressed my laughter.
When finished, I quickly went into my room and changed. Running back into the lounge I was relieve to find that the other had changed and were back, in fancy dress.
I felt an arm loop through mine and I look up to see Captain. "Shall we?" He asked me. I nodded and we walked away together.

When outside of the tower we split off. Steve was on his motorbike and the rest of us were split between limos. Apparently we were travelling in style.
I was shoved into a limo with Bruce, Thor and Loki. That meant that Tony and Pepper had a limo all to themselves. Typical Stark thing to do, really. The ride was awkward at the start, but then conversation opened up.
"Did you have fun, Brucie?" I asked Banner. I was sitting diagonal from him. He nodded and said, "Yes. At first I was a bit, well, hesitant with the whole water fight thing, but when I actually started I had a lot of fun." I sent him a sweet smile and he returned it.
'You and Banner? I thought it was that Captain America.' I shot a warning glance at Loki and kept my mind blank. "How was your day, Lady Avallone?" Thor asked me. I was sitting next to him, so I had to turn slightly to talk to him.
"Oh, it was great. I had fun." I replied, with a slight laugh. Loki cleared his throat across from me and I shot him another warning look. "And how was your day Loki Laufeyson?" I asked him.
He looked up at me, a bit startled at his last name, but quickly recovered. "Mine was fantastic." He put an extra sexy touch on the word fantastic and it sent a shiver down my spine.
Finally, we pulled into the parking lot of a small cafe. I stepped out of the limo, with the guidance of Steve's hand. He had gotten there before all of us.
I gasped when I looked up and saw what cafe we were at. The others were laughing and joking at the front door. Tony and Pepper weren't there yet, so we were waiting out there for them.
Steve tugged on my arm, but I couldn't move. This was John's cafe.
