Keira walked into the shop as Ella wiped down the dirty tables. There were a few people sitting down, basking in the warm atmosphere of the shop.
This was her favorite place to be, it's her tranquil place. The energy is strong and unmatched, and she likes to believe that's her parents watching over her. Her parents took good care of this place, putting their all into it and she vowed to do the same.
She made many memories in this place, and she wanted customers to have good memories of being here also.
"Hi, baby cousin!" Ella waved at her, "Thank you again for covering my shift yesterday, I owe you."
"Yes bitch, you do," Keira joked walking over to her and embracing her in a tight hug.
"How was it, was the morning shift busy?" She broke the hug, continuing to wipe down the table that had a coffee stain.
"On a Friday morning? Hell yeah!" Keira responded chuckling, "I don't know how you do it."
"I don't know either, girl. But, I saw Nathan leave this morning," She smirked.
Keira shrugged, "Yeah, he slept over like he always does."
Ella furrowed her brows, "And y'all ain't do nothing?"
"Girl, no! That's my best friend."
Ella rolled her eyes, walking back towards the counter as Keira followed her with a confused look on her face.
"So, you're telling me you and Nathan's fine ass been friends since high school and you ain't let him kill not once?" Ella said in a hushed tone to avoid any listening ears. "You gay?"
She frowned, "No bitch. Why is that so hard to believe? And Nathan's ass is a hoe, why would I want that?"
Ella shrugged taking off her apron, "I dunno I would've been fucked him. Especially after he started growing that facial hair."
Keira playfully pushed her, "Because, you're a hoe too."
She laughed out loud, "Shut up bitch. Lemme go get my stuff, I'll be back."
"Bring my apron when you come back!" Keira called after her as Ella walked towards the back.
After a few moments, Ella came from the back with her belongings.
She handed Keira her apron, "I'll see you later baby. Have a good shift!"
"Bye Ella."

Keira sighed looking up at the digital clock, it read 8:09 pm. Spending her weekends closing the shop was annoying but it's not like she had anything better to do, she just wanted to go home to binge Chicago Fire.
"Four more hours to go," She said aloud.
There were a few customers in the store taking advantage of the free wifi as they sipped on their hot drinks.
Keira leaned against the counter, watching the few customers sit and mind their business. To pass time, she often guessed each customer's story. She always wondered what kind of life these people live.
The door chime then went off as a boy around her age walked in wearing black distressed skinny jeans, a black crew neck t-shirt, and a black V-lone hoodie, paired with Alexander McQueen sneakers. He had a black Louis Vuitton laptop sleeve tucked under his arm with blue Apple Airpod Max headphones sitting around his neck.
