Thor and Tony took a few seconds to process what had happened.

"I think we should get out of here and take advantage of the favour that the girl did for us, Thor said, his voice laced with confusion.

Tony seemed reluctant at Thor's words though, although not wanting to admit it, as he too felt terror in the pit of his stomach as soon as he caught sight of the power that came from the little girl.

While he hesitated at first to approach the girl, Thor took the girl in his arms and together with Tony, they advanced to the Quinjet.

On the way, they found Natasha and Steve running towards them with concerned faces. And when they saw the small girl unconscious in Thors arms, their concern only increased.

"What the hell happened? We were looking for her throughout the forest, we even found Banner." Natasha shouted, immediately taking Wanda in her arms, an action that dismayed Steve, but he let it pass.

Tony was the first one who answered.

"Were actually not sure. Thor and I were fighting, and she just appeared, killing all of Strucker's soldiers with a single blow."

Steve and Natasha looked at Thor in search of another explanation, because as how the hell was it possible that a seven-year-old could end up taking out a full army? But that was a problem for another time. Right now they had two unconscious children in need of medical attention.

With Wanda in Natasha's arms, they returned to the Quinjet. Tony was piloting, Thor was seated, Clint was with Banner taking care of Pietro, and Steve was with Natasha taking care of Wanda.

The girl woke up a few minutes after take-off, and they knew there were several possibilities of how she would react, so when she began to move and make small sounds, they decided to give her space so that she could orient herself.

Suddenly, little red tendrils filled the passenger cabin and as Natasha went to wake the girl, she had a flashback of the Red Room for a few seconds. Coming out of her trance she realized that the little girl was finally awake and was watching her with with terror in her eyes.

First, she felt annoyance towards the girl, but in less than a second, her mental barriers were wore down.

At first, Wanda had made her remember one of the most traumatic times of her life. But when she saw the girl's pale face, her beautiful jade green eyes clouded with tears and her small body reeling continually, all her fury subsided and gave way to deep pity.

Nat cringed; she realized that the girl had done it accidentally and that she was probably expecting her to punish her.

And even though a voice in her head told Natasha to stay away from the girl, she refused to listen to it.

No matter how dangerous she was, no matter how powerful she was, little Wanda was just a traumatised child. So, instead of walking away and abandoning her, she decided to give way to her instincts and let the girl sob on her shoulder.

In the background, the rest of the Avengers were doing various things; talking, drinking water, and recovering from the fight. However, Steve watched keenly as his girlfriend hugged the girl and settled her on her lap, knowing that she, the cold and calculating Black Widow, had grown fond of the little girl.

Upon observing the scene, the Avengers agreed to take care of the twins until they could find a home for them, all except Tony and Bruce, who after observing how the girl effortlessly knocked Natasha down, felt fear at the amount of sheer power stored in a small, unstable, girl.

"Ты в порядке, дорогая. Natasha said, trying her best to calm the girl in her native tongue. Wanda only looked up with teary eyes and snuggled back into the Widow's chest.

"Thank you, Wanda had eventually whispered quietly.

Natasha just hugged the girl a little tighter.

"You're welcome, and you should sleep. Itll take a few hours to get to New York.

Wanda merely nodded, closing her eyes from exhaustion.

During the return trip, Steve called Fury to tell him about the twins and between the two of them, they decided that they would stay in the compound until the two children could go to a safe house.

Clint stayed in the back of the plane look after little Pietro, while Natasha kept Wanda asleep on her lap.

Tony and Bruce continued to pilot the ship and chat.

"Tony, I don't know if it is a good idea to have the twins in the compound. I dont like how powerful and unstable they are, Bruce warned.

"I know Banner, Tony replied, But try to convince the Mama and Papa bears over there. He said, referring to Natasha, Steve and Clint.

"Plus, Tony continued, I'm pretty sure Pepper is also super fond of kids, so there's not much I can do," He replied in a tired and exasperated tone.

"You know we're going to have to teach them to control their powers, right?" Banner asked.

"I know, Bruce. I know."

However, they had no idea how they were going to do that, that was for sure.
