As Clint crossed the entrance to the Quinjet with the unconscious Pietro in his arms, Wanda screamed in sheer anguish and Natasha had to grab the little girl to keep her from running in the direction of her brother.

Clint's face held a guilty expression. He whole-heartedly believed that Pietros accident was in relation to him. But before he could ask, Steves voice boomed through the communication piece in his ear, asking for a status update.

"Team, we have a problem! Is it safe to retreat? He demanded eagerly, We have a child wounded, I repeat, we have a child wounded. His voice was a combination of anguish and uncertainty.

It didn't take long for Tony to answer.

"Cap, I think we really need reinforcements. There are too many soldiers, and the Hulk is no longer the Hulk.

Clint laid the child on the Quinjet seats, and then answered.

"One of the soldiers tried to shoot at me, but before the bullet hit me, Pietro went through it and it hit him in the arm, he looked at me for a few seconds and fell unconscious." His voice was broken, and they were silent for a few seconds with Wanda's sobs being the only source of sound.

Steve was the first one to break the silence.

"Tony needs reinforcements, there are more soldiers than we expected, and they need us to be able to extract the equipment without being detected.

He wanted to continue, but before he could speak, Pietro began to move and say incoherent words. Wanda Immediately he pounced on her brother, falling to her knees in front of him and before the others could react, the little girl used her power to enter the mind of her brother. For a few seconds everything was silent, except for the heartbreaking cry of the child.

They left her in silence for a moment, no one daring to say anything. Using her powers, Wanda calmed her brother's mind and left, the red mist dissolving around her.

"He is having nightmares from what we went through before with Strucker. Its the same noise with what they attacked us when we didnt want to listen. Even though he promised not to hurt us anymore. She said, referring to the promise Strucker made to him when they began to show the first signs of their altered abilities. From what Natasha could tell, Wanda was attempting to explain that Strucker used to threaten them with guns—until they developed their powers. Then he feared them, although it was hard for a seven-year-old to know that.

"Now that you two have hints of great and powerful abilities, you must know they are important, agreed? Which means that your punishments will no longer be as often if you behave well. I can promise you that, my little miracles." Strucker had said with a sinister smile.

At that time, the twins felt safe. But they had no idea that Baron Strucker was thinking of breaking his promise if either of the two rebelled, which was what happened a few minutes ago with little Pietro.

Wanda felt angry, desperate, and scared. But mainly, she felt the need to avenge her twin brother. So, she gathered all that resentment from the experiments and the pain from the physical and mental punishment, that fury of seeing her brother in the unconscious state and steeled herself to get her revenge. Because despite being only seven years old and living in a country run by constant wars and the manipulation of other people, she was only clear about the concept of revenge since the day that the twins joined Hydra. She and Pietro also had revenge towards the man they believed to be guilty of the death of their parents: someone by the name of Tony Stark. However eventually with time, that anger was extinguished and was replaced by the constant pain and suffering at the hand of Struckers experiments.

With those feelings clouding her mind, Wanda sneaked off to the battlefield a couple of miles away, as the Quinjet was parked far from the fight for safety reasons. She walked for a few minutes at a fast pace, avoiding to run because of the wound on her leg.

When she arrived, the first thing she saw was the soldier who, thanks to the memories of her brother, she recognized as his attacker. Immediately, without thinking, she launched a ball of angry, red energy in the direction of the soldier, hitting him in the abdomen, causing him to fall from the watchtower and die instantly.

Even after killing the soldier, her anger did not subside, so she decided to join the battle.

But when she felt the mind of her twin became restless due to a painful nightmare, Wanda fell unconscious.
