The next morning comes around.

The soldiers of the Survey Corps line up accordingly against the wall outside of HQ. And they patiently await their orders. Some feel a sense of excitement to go beyond the wall again—and some don't. No one knows that it's actually going to be an uninteresting day, not even you—except for one person.

"Take a shovel." Levi says as he strolls down the line of people.

Everyone does as he says but some question him. They didn't understand the need for a shovel or why.

Levi stops walking and he faces the soldiers, "We're cleaning the garden today."

It was then that the Scout Regiment groaned in disbelief.

Your hand knocks into Jean Kirschtein's for, what seemed like, the umpteenth time.

"For someone who says they aren't interested." Jean, he's quite snarky at the moment, "You sure do like touching my hand."

Your hands and fingers have been grazing the light-haired males intermittently for some time now. Although, it definitely wasn't intentional. You and Jean were next to each other pulling weeds and adjacent to the both of you sat Sasha and Connie on their knees; they also pull weeds.

You click your tongue, "No one told you to sit so close to me!"

"I was here first!" Jean retorts.

The bandy-worded exchange continues between the two of you.

"Here they go again." Connie sighs.

"Yep." Sasha agrees, "Why can't they just get along?"

"Well, why can't (Y/N) just give Jean a chance?"

Sasha rolls her eyes, obviously she's always going to side with you, "Come on, Connie. You can't force something that's not there."

Connie throws a hand up. He's going to try and assist his friend where he can, "He's not asking for her hand in marriage. One date—just one date. Who knows? It might go better than she expects."

"That's not up to me to decide." Sasha continues to comb through the dirt.

Connies hand goes back down to the soil, "You guys are inseparable. I'm sure she takes your word to heart more than you think. Maybe you can convince her."

The girl sighs. She doesn't want to, because she knows about you and Levi and she knows how you feel about the man. But no one else does. So she responds the best way she knew how, "I'll see what I can do."

"How about you move down?!" You snap and then you point to the opposite side of Jean, "Look at all the room you have over there!"

"Me?! What about you?!" He points to the opposite side of you, where there does seem to be some extra space.
