When Iris stopped the car already at her place, she didn't get out of it immediately for she needed a moment to quiet the rush that was washing over her. She stayed inside hearing the rain tapping on the hood strongly but not distracting her from her incessant thoughts. The kiss played in her mind time and time again while she was driving back there. Not because she liked it, but because it was totally unexpected for her and she learned how Chris was still so much into her in a way she knew she wouldn't be, not into him anyway. It hurt her to see him hurt. She liked him a lot, just not in a romantic way. Then, there was Stone. Her biggest concern. Her priority. Her everything. Omitting everything from him was corroding her. She knew Chris would never bring that night up in a conversation for he had something to hide but she knew she was hiding things from him and she had never hidden anything from him before. Their relationship was based on trust in one another. They were used to tell everything to each other, discuss matters and decide things together. It could either be a simple thing or a very complicated thing related to his work or to her work. It didn't matter what was on the table, they would talk about it. Now, she had a secret. Not her secret, someone else's secret, still a secret, nonetheless. Topping that, the kiss... Iris cringed and held onto the steering wheel with both hands feeling guilt eating her alive. Just like the first time he had kissed her, she didn't like it nor did she wanted it but she had allowed him to kiss her. She didn't pull away. Iris doesn't know why she didn't do it, maybe for being grateful that he saved her the previous night.

"Fuck..." She whispered all alone. Letting go of the steering wheel, she leaned back on her seat and closed her eyes trying to calm her heart down. It was racing so fast.

Telling Stone everything would create more problems. The night before, a text from Chris almost turned into a fight, let alone telling him that he had now kissed her. Hiding she had been to his place was lying to him. She didn't go home straight from her work as he thought she would. She looked for Chris. She had it all arranged since the previous night. Iris shook her head and grabbed her purse. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door of her car and got out, locking it.

"It's going to be alright." She mumbled as she started running, covering her head with her purse.

It was just a few meters until she was under the roof of her porch. Iris opened her purse and was searching for the keys when the door opened unexpectedly and she jumped back as it had scared her. She wanted a few more seconds to quiet the wild drum that was her heart that moment.

"You scared me!" She told Stone who appeared all smiley and looking stunning in a black sweater and blue jeans.

The simplest clothing would look perfect on him anyway. He had such a tall and elegant figure that it didn't matter what he'd wear, he'd look great. The scent of the cologne that she had given him by Dolce & Gabanna reached her nose. It was fresh and sweet at the same time. He was shaved and his air was barely existent. She couldn't believe it when he shaved his long hair, but it had grown on her since then and she loved it. It suited him so well, even enhancing his skittish smile. Those seconds where she looked him, her eyes absorbed every perfect line of his appearance. She loved everything little trace in him, from his jaw to his nose and his lips were just irresistible. His eyes always so alive and quite unique colored. She adored how they'd go from light brown to hazel and olive green depending on the light.

"You scared the shit out of me." She told him again.

"I'm sorry." He responded noticing that Iris didn't even smile. "I just wanted to surprise you..." Iris gave a step forward and smiled faintly and then kissed his lips. The lips she didn't get tired of.

"It's ok, babe." She said, running a hand over his face. After, she pulled away and went inside.

"Is everything alright?" Stone asked as he closed the door. Iris was hanging her purse and her rain coat.
