Through Stone's bedroom window came the brilliance of the day shine. The clarity had made Iris flicker her eyes opened, but she closed them shut as the brightness almost blinded her. Her eyes still too sensitive to daylight. She stretched her whole body, even raising her arms above her head and then forced her eyes opened again. After blinking three times, she was able to keep her blue eyes opened. A yawn escaped her lips and she stretched again, feeling rested and relaxed. By her side, Stone was still sleeping, breathing softly, and holding onto his pillow which made her smile. Iris turned on her side and watched him so peaceful, so distant and for a second she asked herself if he dreamed about her as she sometimes did about him. She studied every millimeter of his face and then she took a deep breath and turned on her back and stared at the ceiling. As he shifted his body closer to hers, he let his arm fall on her waist and that made her smile. She felt her heart about to abandon her body and she knew she had never felt anything like that for anyone before.

Their chemistry was undeniable. They were pure TNT. When she thought about him, her focus would disappear and there was only desire. Sex with him transcendental. On that split second before his body touched hers, every nerve in her body electrified. Just his scent was enough to send her into a pungent trance. It was way easier to be with him than to be apart from him, and that was not just body chemistry, or sexual tension, it was something else. Iris puffed as these reflections formed clear in her head. She rubbed her hands on her face to stop her from feeling and then grabbed his hand gently and pulled it away from her. Iris sat on the bed and grabbed his shirt from the bedroom's floor and passed it over her head. Then, she got up, and bare foot, she approached his window.

The sun was shining outside. It was a clear blue-sky day with a radiant sun illuminating the city. She concluded it should be cold though. People out on the street were wearing coats. Some, wearing lighter clothes, were walking with their arms crossed around their chest. There was a gust blowing and those could be really cold if coming from the Sound. The trees were wagging and some leaves were falling from it every time its branches shook. The sidewalk was covered with yellow and brown leaves.

"California..." His sleepy voice made her turn her head towards the bed.

"Hey!" She smiled while he was rubbing his eyes.

"What are you doing there?" Stone asked, adjusting the pillow under his head so he could see her better.

"Just watching the street." Iris shrugged.

"You seemed so far away..." Stone breathed. "Nice shirt, by the way." He smiled, and that was enough to set her heart on a dangerous beat. "I guess I recognize it though."

"Oh yeah?" She curled an eyebrow.

"It looks better on you. I have to give you that." He grinned and Iris giggled. "What are you doing there?"

"I told you." Iris approached the edge of the bed.

"What are you doing there instead of here with me?" He asked. "That was my question."

Iris climbed on the bed on her fours and then crawled over his body, with his eyes following her, until she was face to face with him. His hands slid over her legs until they stopped on her hips and he pulled her down. Iris fell on top of him and on that moment, his hands slid over to her lower back and she kissed him. For more than twenty seconds their lips and tongues slow danced and when they pulled apart, Iris slid her body to the mattress and rested her head on his chest.

"Were you really just watching the street?" He asked, running the tip of his fingers over her back. Iris raised her head and rested it on her hand, looking down at him.

"Yes." She confirmed. "Why?" Stone shrugged.

"Nothing... just..." He shut up and smiled at her and then pulled her head down for a peck.
