Chapter 15

Paper? Jugo thought to himself, what the hell is paper doing here?

Jugo was confused and hurt at the same time, thoughts running lose in his mind.

Why would sasuke turn him in?

Doesn't he love him?

What is he up to?

Why is there paper in a cave?

The sudden realization hit jugo like a truck. He ran up to sasuke and the others but said nothing of what he and sasuke knew. 

"Alright you guys, the weather has gotten better so we're leaving now." Sasuke said

Naruto and the others gave a confused look at sasuke. 

"What do you mean sasuke?" The blond asked in a curious but wary voice. It was almost as if he knew the answer, but didn't want to believe it.

"We're heading to the akatsuki hideout. Where else would we go?" The uchiha replied in a sarcastic tone.

"WHAT?" karin and suigetsu yelled out at the same time. They were both confused and upset. Although it had only been two days, naruto had already made a great impact on the group, and they weren't ready to just let him go.

Karin looked at jugo, who seemed calm about the situation.

"Why the hell are you so calm about this?!?"

Jugo looked the redhead dead in the eyes. "What needs to be done has to be done, karin."

Naruto looked at the ground with fear in his eyes. Even jugo was willing to turn him in. He wanted to believe he had friends here. He wanted to feel accepted, and he did, but he was about to be killed. By those same people he thought were friends. One he thought he loved. Now, he wasn't too sure.

He felt his body get tighter as sasuke casted the binding jutsu on him once again. He slowly began to black out. The last thing he saw was sasukes face, which had a look of sadness and guilt on it. Then, everything went dark.

Kakashi let out another frustrated yell. He looked EVERYWHERE and still couldn't find his student. The sun was out and had a beautiful glow that shined down on everything. The green trees and grass were still wet with dew and slippery. He let out a sigh and got up from where he was sitting on the roof and went inside. Whatever chatter there was stopped once he entered.

"No luck?" Asuma asked

"You know it."

Just then, shikamaru and choji walked out the room they were sharing, buth seemingly tired.

"You guys sleep well?" Yamato asked while handing out a cup of coffee to kakashi.

"Yea," shikamaru replied with a yawn. "Where the hell did you get coffee and how did you manage to make it?"

Yamato smiled and made a shushing motion. "A good magician never tells their secret."

Choji got out a bag of chips and stared at it for what seemed to be forever.

"You gunna eat it?" Ino asked as she came out of her room

He stared at it a little longer and ended up tucking it away. "Nah, not right now. I have a friend to look for. I can't enjoy myself while he's out missing."

Everyone nodded their head in agreement. Just then, the door opened and sakura came through it.

The atmosphere became thick as she walked past everyone and sat down on the floor.

"Where were you?" Kakashi asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

The pinkette stared at her hands and mumbled something under her breath.

"What? Speak up please, we can't understand you." Asuma said gently

"I went looking for naruto" she said louder this time.

Everyone was in shock. She...went looking for naruto? The very girl who hated him for no reason?

The room was silent until sai spoke up, which made everyone jump since they hadn't noticed that he was up.

"Why the change of heart?"

Sakura looked up in tears.

"I had no reason to hate naruto, but i hated him anyway. I realized that my entire life i was going on what i was raised to do, to hate him. I didn't have a good reason other than 'my mom told me so'. I was stupid and foolish to believe naruto was a monster even after everything he's done for me. Thats why i want to find him, so i can apologize."

The room became silent once again, and sakura looked down again. This time, it was shikamaru who spoke up.

"I don't exactly forgive you, but..." he hesitated with what he would say next. "Carrying around hatred isn't exactly the best thing to do."

He offered a hand to her, which took sakura by surprise.

"Im not going to apologize for attacking you, as that seemed to knock some sense into you, but im willing to give you a second chance."

She smiled. "Thank you shikamaru."

She took his hand and stood up.

"Kakashi sensei, im sorry. I know that you're hurting because we lost naruto, and all i did was make the situation worse."

She turned to face ino next. "Ino, I'm sorry for everything in general. I was jealous and stupid." Ino smiled and gave sakura a hug. "Its the same for me as with shikamaru, but i think we can make things work out."

Sakura cried a little more. "Im sorry to everyone else as well, i was being a brat and only cared about my feelings."

The room stayed silent until choji let out a hearty laugh followed by asuma.

Kakashi smiled under his mask. I guess shes matured some, huh?

Sakura looked at her sensei. "Kakashi-sensei?"

"Yes?"

"Can i go back out and look for him?"

The silver haired man let out a chuckle. "Sure"

Sakura stepped put the door and closed it behind her. She let out a sigh. 

Don't mess this up sakura. Keep being nice like this and sooner or later sasuke will love you. 

She smiled at the thought of being in sasuke's embrace and jumped off into the forest to "look" for naruto...

Ok so at first i was like "you know what, sakura should have some character development ", but then i was like "PLOT TWIST BRAIN! IM NOT GUNNA DO THAT."

Idk what it is i just really like it when sakura is mean and then gets her heart broke-

Ok but at some point of time she will actually have some development lol

Once again happy birthday to my boy naruto, and im pretty sure nishinoya's (haikyuu) birthday was recently as well, if not today🤔
