Chapter 20

dammit yall got there too quick for my liking. well, as promised heres the chapter. bastards.

Ignoring the shouting naruto was one of the lesser problems for sasuke. That damned tobi had disappeared.

"Everyone, stay on guard! He could be anywhere right now! Jugo, do not let naruto go."

"what?" naruto spat, "don't listen to that teme! lemme go!"

"forget that! just do as sasuke said." karin yelled.

Their conversation was rudely interrupted by a kick to sasukes ribs. he could've sworn he felt his them crack as he struggled to get up.

"rule number one to a fight," tobi said, "don't turn your back on the enemy, and especially don't forget that they're there."

"thats two rules." an annoyed naruto yelled from jugo's shoulder.

tobi turned to face him. "i'll deal with you later. soon, you'll be to drained to speak. oh, and dead."

that seemed to shut naruto up as he remembered his predicament.

"sasuke(-kun)!" both karin and sakura yelled out while running towards him. karin offered her arm to sasuke. "c'mon we've got a friend to save." sakura watch with jealousy as sasuke bit karins arm.

he quickly got up and assumed a fighting stance. he ran forward swinging blindly but couldn't land a single punch. he seemed out of it, desparate to even land a single hit, as if he knew there was no way they were going to win.

"sasuke watch out!" the uchiha turned his head to see a massive sword flying his way. of course suigetsu thought to throw it. he ducked out of the way only to be swept off his feet, sadly not in a romantic way.

sakura charged forward trying to land a punch, only to go through her target, stumbling. "who the hell is this guy?"

her question was answered with a yelp of surprise from karin as she was swung sakura's way, crashing into her. karin quickly got up and offered a hand to sakura. "he calls himself tobi, and he can go through objects." she turned to face the fight, watching suigetsu's attack be parried. "we can't be of much help right now. i have to play healer, so i need you to watch my back."

sakura gave a quick nod and stood to the side of karin. the fight wasnt going to well in their favor. the pinkette turned to the red head.

"when i tell you to jump, jump to the count of three. understand?" karin nodded her head. sakura readied herself.

tobi jumped in the air, only to come back down with brutal force on suigetsu with his foot on his back.

sasuke was targeted next. in a swift move and a jab to his throat he couldn't speak and begin to spit out blood.

jugo looked crazed. he was grey and swinging wildly, screaming to the top of his lungs. kill, kill, kill!

"jump!" sakura smashed her fist into the ground causing it to break and crumble, catching their foe off guard, causing him to slip and fall in the cracks. "holy shit pinkie!" karin was completely surprised.

"thanks, but nows not the time for compliments. we need to get sasuke-kun to safety."

"and everyone else..." karin added in warily. she was unheard as sakura was already halfway across the field, dropping to her knees as she picked up sasuke. he opened his mouth to say something, but only gurgles came out. he let out a frustrated noise and slammed his fist into the ground.
