Chapter 19

It was silent for a second before suigetsu suddenly jumped out with the Kubikiribōchō in hand. 

"Suigetsu no!" Sasuke called out. But it was too late. He swung his sword only for it to pass through tobi. He stumbled on his landing in confusion. "What the hell?"

Sasuke mentally cursed suigetsu. That idiot! You don't just randomly charge out at someone like that! He turned to face jugo and karin. "Here," he said giving naruto over to jugo, "get him to safety. Don't get caught."

They both nodded in acknowledgment and jumped away. The masked figure began to chase them until sasuke called out, pointing to their opponent. "You're not getting him."

An audible sigh could be heard coming from tobi. "Very well then. Although, you made a mistake sending him away with those two." With a burst of speed he sprung forward knocking sasuke through a tree holding him by the neck. Sasuke could feel his bones rattle on impact nearly leaving him dazed. "Tell me sasuke, why do you wish to protect that boy so much?"

Using both his feet sasuke kicked him away and fell to the ground gasping for air. "I don't...have to tell you SHIT."

Suigetsu suddenly appeared which seemed to almost surprise the two ravens. Wielding his sword like a baseball bat he connected it to tobi sending him flying. "You forgot about me you bastard." He smiled a toothy grin.

"Actually, i didn't."

Suigetsu turned his head only to be met face to face with tobi who reared his fist back to punch him.

"Chidori!" The familiar sound of lightning in sasukes hand could be heard for miles around as he charged forward sending it through tobi's gut. "Yes!" Suigetsu cheered out. There was no blood on sasuke's hand as it went out his opponents back. "No!" He whined

"No matter how much you try, you will not be able to touch me." He moved to the side and brought his hand down forcefully in a chopping motion on sasuke's neck, who was still stuck in the position as if he was piercing someones heart. Sasuke fell to the ground with a look of shock on his face as the rest of his body fell numb.

"Maa, its a shame that this fight ended so quickly," tobi exclaimed. He knelt down and picked sasuke up by his hair so they could be face to face. "A terrible thing, really. Not much of an Uchiha, are you?" And with that, tobi jumped off in the direction that karin and jugo went.

"C'mon sasuke! We have to catch him!" Suigetsu put his teammates arm around his neck and put his arm around sasuke's waist.

"No."

Suigetsu stopped in his tracks. "What?"

"You. You go to them. I'll only burden you." Sasuke turned his head as if he was ashamed and embarrassed in himself. "I can barely move right now as it is, and besides, if you carry me it'll only take longer to get to naruto and the others. Leave me here, against a tree. Once i get better, then i'll go."

Suigetsu let out a sigh. "You better do that." And with that, he left.

"I will..." sasuke let out a sigh. Hang in there, naruto.

"Karin, where do you think we could find a shelter?"

The pair had been running for at least thirty minutes, which in a ninja's book was not enough of a head start.

"I don't know. Right now we should be focusing on getting our friend here to safety. If we rest we risk getting caught."

Jugo nodded in approval. "Well then, we might want to up the pace. The birds are telling me he's coming, and his closing in fast."
