T/W- Brief mentions of sexual assault (Summary at the end if you want to skip it)

Bucky couldn't sleep. He had woken up from a nightmare, and he couldn't fall back asleep. It wasn't the fact that Tony was just a few floors above. The rogues had been accepted back for a year now, and the team had warmed up to them even Tony. But Bucky remained unable to sleep. He rolled over and looked at the time. 5:15am. He sighed and got up. He got changed into running gear and went outside into the cool air. It was still dark, and it would remain that way for a little while longer. He wasn't afraid of muggers or the like because well... he had been the Winter Soldier, and he knew how to kill a man silently in 13 different ways with his bare hands. Bucky roamed the streets, trying to burn off the energy still crammed up inside him. He had been running flat out for 30 minutes, so he had made it to the outskirts of the city. There were a couple houses, and he was considering turning back when he heard a scream. Then another. It came from one of the houses, and Bucky cautiously made his way to the window. It was locked, but another scream convinced him to break it. So, he did. He pulled back the curtains and peered in. What he saw broke his heart. There was a man, pushing a girl about 17 against the wall. He kissed her harshly and proceeded to take off the girl's clothes. All the while the girl was screaming at him to stop. Bucky rushed in and pulled the man off the teenager. "Hey! What are you doing!" Bucky yelled at the man. "You've got no right to be here!" the man growled back. "Really?! Cause from what I can see, you have no right to be harassing that girl!" Bucky retorted. Bucky held the man while he tried to fight back. He wouldn't stop, so Bucky knocked him out. The girl meanwhile was crying in the corner, holding her clothes against her body. Bucky turned to her and knelt down, keeping his distance as not to frighten her. "Hey," he said softly, "I'm Bucky. What's your name?" The girl didn't reply. Bucky groaned silently to himself. He had no idea how to comfort her. He thought for a moment, then said, "I know the Avengers. Do you want to come with me to the Avenger's Tower? I promise that no one will hurt you." The girl looked at him and seemed to recognise him as Bucky Barnes, friend of Steve Rogers, Captain America. She hesitantly nodded. "Ok, I'm going out of this room to let you... get dressed and stuff. Then we can go to the tower," Bucky said, still kneeling down. The girl nodded and Bucky slowly got up and left. When he had closed the door, he rang up Steve but couldn't get a hold of him. Then he called Sam. "Hey Buck, what's up?" Sam asked. "I told you not to call me that... anyway, can you come and pick me and a girl up? I kinda found her in a bit of a situation, but I'll explain later," Bucky said quietly, then after a moment added, "Please." "Um, ok? Where are you?" Sam asked. "We're umm, I have no idea, wait I'll text you. Oh, and make sure you come in a car that's not overwhelming. And bring something to knock out a man for a couple hours, I don't know when he'll wake up," Bucky replied. "Ok. I have absolutely no idea what you did but you are lucky we're friends. Well, kind of friends," Sam said. Bucky rolled his eyes. "Thanks," he said then hung up. The door opened and out came the girl. "Hey, can you tell me the address for this house? Sam, the Falcon is coming to pick us up," he asked. The girl shrugged. Bucky came up with a brilliant idea. (Or brilliant for him at least). "Or you can type it if you don't want to talk," Bucky said, handing over the phone. The girl took it and typed in the address. "Now we can wait outside or in here. He will probably be 20 minutes away," Bucky said. The girl started to walk out and Bucky hurried to get the man. He found some rope in the room, and took that. They walked outside and sat down on the concrete. Bucky proceeded to tie up the man, in case he woke up before Sam got there. They sat in silence; Bucky didn't know what to say. The girl took a breath. "Thank you. My name is Isabelle," the girl said. "You're welcome. You're safe now," Bucky replied. Isabelle smiled but she didn't look like she was going to say anything more. They fell back into silence; except this time, it was less awkward. After a while, a black car pulled up in front of them and Sam walked out. "Hey..." Sam said, his voice trailing off at the sight of a teenage girl hugging her knees and a man tied up. "Thanks Sam," Bucky said. Bucky and Isabelle got up and Bucky placed the man in the boot (trunk). Sam handed over a syringe with knock out liquid in it. Bucky pushed the liquid into the man's shoulder and closed the boot (trunk). Isabelle hopped in the back, and Bucky joined her. The ride to the tower was silent, Bucky saying that he'll explain to Sam when they got there.

Summary- Bucky couldn't sleep so he went out running and heard a scream form a house. He broke in and found a man raping a teenage girl. He stopped the man and Sam picked them up and took the girl to the tower. The girl's name is Isabelle.
