Natasha and Bucky went to see a movie then they went to a secluded park. "That was a surprisingly good movie," Natasha said. "Why surprising?" Bucky asked. "I don't normally watch movies and when I do it's not horror. I don't get scared watching them," Natasha explained. "Same, but I watched the old one with Iz, and I thought the trailer was good," Bucky said. Natasha nodded and they continued talking about the movie. The stars came out and Natasha laid back on the grass staring up at them. Bucky looked at her and smiled. "They're so beautiful. They come out every night, and even if you can't see them you know they're there. They're the one thing I can rely on," Natasha said, saying the last part to herself. Bucky laid down next to her. "Now you have me. I'm not going anywhere," Bucky said. "You promise?" Natasha asked. "I promise," Bucky declared, taking her hand. They smiled and looked up to the sky. They stayed there, until it was time to go.

Bucky entered his apartment, happy and content. "Dad?" Isabelle called. "Yep, I'm back," Bucky said back. Isabelle came out, in her pajamas and went to hug her dad. "Did you have fun?" she asked. "Sure did," Bucky answered. Bucky got ready for bed, tucked in his daughter and hopped in bed. He closed his eyes and started to think of Natasha. He had fun that night, and he hoped that Natasha felt comfortable with him. He hoped that Natasha loved him as much as he loved her. Bucky cared for Natasha and wanted nothing more than to make her feel safe, cared for and free from her past. She had had a rough past, just like him, but she didn't have the freedom Bucky did. Bucky couldn't remember most of what he had done, and he did it against his will. Natasha did too, but she did slightly have more of a choice. Plus, she remembered all the ones she had killed.

Natasha was smiling all the way home where Clint was waiting for her. "How was it?" he asked as soon as she came through the door. "Really good," Natasha replied. She smiled at her best friend and she went to bed feeling light, happy, and safe.

The next week Bucky and Isabelle went shopping for Christmas presents. They were having Christmas at the compound, with the avengers, plus Peter and his aunt. They had a fun time and then only 1 person was without a gift. Natasha. Bucky went to the jewellery store and stared at the items on display. Isabelle looked at him. Together they went through the pieces, lifting things and sometimes trying them on. Finally Bucky decided on the perfect gift.

A/N- I stayed up late to finish this chapter so thank me. The chapter after next should have a little bit of drama in it, I feel like I haven't really added any plot to the last couple chapters, I'll try to progress the story more.
