Chapter 15

The pair finished their ice cream and headed to the tower. Clint was the first to see Isabelle. "Isabelle! You're back!" He exclaimed. She nodded. "Yes!" Clint yelled. He ran off and there was the sound of Clint's voice echoing throughout the tower. "What's the bet he's telling everyone you're back?" Bucky asked the girl next to him. Before Isabelle could answer, Natasha and Wanda came running in. "I'd say you are dean on," Isabelle replied."What are you doing here?" Wanda asked. "Bucky adopted her," Natasha answered. The three of them stared at her. "What? I'm a spy, remember?" Natasha said, "Good to have you back." Isabelle smiled up at the spy/assassin. Just then the rest of the avengers came in. "Why are you here?" "I thought you were at the orphanage!" "You're back!" The chorus of voices were loud and overwhelming. Isabelle leaned into Bucky covering her ears until the sounds died down. "I adopted her," Bucky announced. Isabelle put her hands to her ears again, the avengers had more to say. Bucky looked at the girl and yelled over the avengers. It fell silent. "Yes I adopted her. She's going to stay... actually...How about we all watch a movie?" Bucky asked. Isabelle nodded in sync with the avengers. They all headed up to one of the living rooms, while the team discussed movie options. Tony was on the phone and once he got off he said that Peter was coming. The group talked some more before deciding on Ready Player One.

The movie was filled with laughter, screams and yelling. At the end of the night Bucky walked Isabelle back to their rooms. "Goodnight Iz," Bucky said. Isabelle went in for a hug and replied, "Goodnight... dad." Isabelle still wasn't used to saying Dad, she had mostly said Bucky when talking to him. But Isabelle meant it. She smiled up at him then went to go and get ready for bed. Neither of them had any nightmares that night.
