After a rough and bumpy ride on my way to the Police Station in Starkville, I was silent. Silent because I was angry. I had done nothing... nothing to deserve the treatment I have received tonight. I hid my anger and it was replaced with grace and caution because I knew that if I acted out, it would only make matters worse. So I complied with the demands of the police. After I was thrown into a holding cell, I began to think about my reputation, and how it was spiraling out of control right before my very eyes. My reputation had gone from crystal clean to shit in a matter of minutes. The reputation I had worked so hard for since my childhood, had imploded. But I knew that this was a setup, I would have to fix this as soon as possible, and I know that I had to spin this story in a certain way that would clear my name and remind everyone how good of a person I was, that was when I used my first call, no matter what I did, even if I was wrong, I knew Coach Howland, would use his power to direct the Media Relations Department to cover up the story and paint a new story about me... a new story that painted me as an innocent and caring young man destined to become an NBA superstar.

During the first conversation, I had with Coach, he believed every word I said... I was innocent. I convinced him that it was someone out to harm the team, the University, and myself. Thirty minutes after the conversation with Coach Howland, one of the police officers came over and began to discharge me from the jail cell. He apologized for the mix-up. I graciously accepted the apology, but I had to ask a question. Well... actually, I had two questions...
