The cold rain fell in drenching sheets, hammering the corrugated roof of the buildings on the campus of The University of Mississippi, roaring down the metal gutters, splashing on the ground in a torrent. Robert Allen sighed and stared out the window. In mids of the chaos, there stood a Magnolia tree that stood firm as the wind swirled outside. It was tall and stately; it stood firm no matter how hard the wind roared. Robert was in a new world. Surrounded in a new environment and eager to make new friends and even find love. Since he transferred from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, he now had a  new beginning. From the window, he could hardly see the woods that surrounded the campus, cloaked in low fog. This wasn't what he expected when he transferred to Ole Miss to develop his basketball skills. He expected warm and sunny southern days that were typical of Mississippi in late July and early August. It has been raining for three entire days, nonstop. Indeed the weather for this time of year was peculiar, but there was a feeling that lies deep in his gut that made him question his decision to transfer to Ole Miss.

"What this the right decision ?" "Is this relentless rain a sign that something bad is going to happen... Or is it a sign of good luck?"

Deep within his head and in his thoughts, he was interrupted when his new head coach, Kermit Davis, walked into the conference room and introduced himself. His new coach showed him around the facilities in the Athletic complex, he even gathered the rest of the basketball team, and they all introduced themselves to him. Slowly but surely, Robert's mind began to change; maybe he did make a good decision by transferring to Ole Miss... Or at least he thought...
