Summary: After being hit by a bludger, Fred is waiting on his girlfriend hand and foot

The wind blew through your hair, the adrenaline rushing through your veins.

The noise that the Gryffindors were making probably carried out for miles as they cheered on their team.

The game was absolutely brutal. Which wasn't surprising – considering that it was between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

"The quaffle is currently in the hands of Johnson, who passed it to L/N. Merlin, that girl is way out of Fred's league – I still have no idea how he scored her." Lee's amusing, even if biased at times, commentary caused laughs to erupt from the Gryffindors.

"Jordan, can you please refrain from mixing in your own opinions with the commentary." McGonagall warned him through gritted teeth.

"Sorry Professor, won't happen again." Jordan said, but everyone knew that that wasn't true.

Tucking the quaffle under your arm, you dodged the other chasers – trying to get to the opposite team's goal post.

Seeing no opening wherein you can score – you decided to pass the quaffle to Alicia, who was closer to you than Angelina was.

You were unaware of a bludger being hurled in your direction until your boyfriend suddenly appeared by your side and use his bat to push you away from the line of danger.

Shooting him a grateful smile, you quickly kissed him on the cheek, "Thanks Freddie."

He grinned at you, "Anything to keep my princess safe."

Playfully rolling your eyes at him, you stirred your broom away in order to catch the quaffle that Alicia threw in your direction.

It was still a close fight – Gryffindor in the lead with 240 points and Slytherin with 230 points.

The only thing that would determine the winner would be whichever house caught the snitch.

The adrenaline rush that flowed in your blood still hadn't faded, not until the game was over.

The quaffle was in your hands and you were racing towards the Slytherin's goal post when you felt something heavy hit your arm and your surroundings suddenly turned to black.

There was a light throb in your head, causing you to groan. You could hear faint whispers around you – but you still didn't have the strength to open your eyes.

"This is all my fault." The familiar voice of your boyfriend reached your mind, "If I was faster, she wouldn't have been hit."

"Stop blaming yourself Fred." Ginny said, "It was an accident. Nobody saw it coming."

"But I could've prevented it." He said.

"Can someone please tie him to a chair before he goes to drown himself in the showers." George teased.

"Funny joke." Oliver mused, "But since we won – I don't have the reason of drowning myself in the showers."

"I wonder if it hurt." Ron wondered.

"Really Ronald." Hermione scolded, "Let's try throwing a bludger at you and see if it hurts or not."

"For your information Ron, I will speak from experience and tell you that it does hurt." Harry said.

"I don't know how you except me to get some rest if you're making quite the ruckus." You said, finally having the strength to open your eyes.

The first thing you saw was the face of your lover as he looked down at you with a worried look.

"How're feeling sweetheart?" He asked, gently petting your hair.

Resting a hand on his cheek, you smiled at him, "I'm feel pretty much fine."

You tried to sit up, only to have pain flair up in your left arm causing you to lay back down.

"Take it easy." Oliver said, "You kinda broke your arm."

Fred helped you sit up, placing a pillow behind your back for you to lean on.

Once you were settled in, you asked the question that had been on your mind, "What happened?"

Your boyfriend avoided your gaze as he answered, "A bludger hit you on the arm – when I saw it coming towards you, I tried to get there as fast as I could. But I didn't make it in time. Sorry princess."

You used your uninjured hand to cup his face in it and have him look at you, "Don't blame yourself Freddie. Like Ginny said, it was an accident. Besides, I'm perfectly fine – it would take more than a bludger to get rid of me Weasley."

The next day, Madam Pomfrey had already discharged you, but you had to keep your arm in a sling for it to fully heal.

You sat at your usual spot, in between the twins, and your boyfriend insisted on spoon feeding you.

"Fred," you laughed, "I broke my left hand and I'm right-handed. I am perfectly capable of feeding myself."

He shushed you, "I know that. But you need to recover so let me take care of you."

"Can't you two be anymore disgusting?" George groaned, "May I remind you, some of us are single."

After dinner, the two of you were about to head to the common room, you reached down to take your bag when Fred beat you to it.

"Freddie!" You complained as you pouted at him.

Despite finding you adorable, he couldn't help but chuckle, "Don't worry princess, I'll just carry it for you."

Before you could protest, he pressed a finger to your lips, "You have a broken arm – which is partially my fault. And as your loving boyfriend, it is my duty to take care of you."

"Cheeky." You muttered as he draped his arm around your waist and the two of you headed towards the common room.

"Freddie," You cooed, lifting your head up from the crook of his neck.

"Yes princess?" He asked, running a hand through your hair.

The Gryffindor common room was relatively quiet – except for a few of your fellow Gryffindors.

"Can you please get me some chocolate?" You requested, jutting your lip out in a small pout as you gave him your best puppy dog eyes.

Fred visibly melted at the sight of you and at that moment, he wondered if Lee was right – how in the name of Merlin was he able to score such a goddess like you?

"Right away your highness." He grinned, pressing a kiss to your cheek before running out of the common room to comply with your request.

Hermione shot you a small smile from where she sat, "If the two of you don't get married someday – then I don't know what love is."
