Summary: Even if he is away on a business trip in New York, Fred and Y/N still find a way to be close

I leaned back on the couch, engrossed in the world of the book I was currently reading while "August" by Taylor Swift played softly in the background.

The quietness that filled that flat rarely happened. If ever, this was the first time.

With my boyfriend, Fred, on a business trip with George somewhere in New York. I basically had the place all to myself.

I groaned as my phone suddenly rang when I reached the climax of the story, but the slight air of annoyance vanished as I saw the caller id. It was Fred.

I answered it immediately, "Hey love! What's up?" I said.

"Nothing." He answered, a smile evident in his voice. "I just wanted to hear your voice, before you know. This meeting with the potential investors."

I giggled, placing a bookmark on the page I was reading, "You're nervous, aren't you?"

Fred let out a nervous chuckle, "A little bit."

"You'll do great Freddie." I said, "Just relax. You got this."

He breathed a sigh of relief, "Thanks love. I wish you were here right now."

I smiled, "You'll do fine Freddie. I'm sure of it."

He took a deep breath, "Thanks sweetheart. I don't know what I'd do without you. I have to go now; I'll call you again later."

"Okay. Bye." I said before dropping the call.

I took a shower to freshen up as I wore one of Fred's old shirts to be able to inhale his familiar scent, as if I was wrapped up in his arms.

While the twins were away, Ginny and Hermione had promised to whisk me away from my boredom on a Girls' Day out.

I took a quick glance at the clock that hung in the kitchen, the girls would be arriving any minute now.

As if on cue, I heard a small pop followed by a quick knock on the door.

I took my bag, slinging it over my shoulder as I opened the door. Revealing my two friends who, over the years, I have formed a sister-like bond with.

We immediately apparated to Diagon Alley to hang out and do a little shopping.

Later that day, we were sitting in a small café that had just recently opened, enjoying our butterbeer as we exchanged stories with each other.

I heard a small ding telling me that I had just received a text, so while Ginny and Hermione were debating about the recent Ministry issue, I unlocked my phone and read the message.

>We just finished. I'm shaking as heck.

I smiled, looking up to see that my two friends were still busy with their little debate.

<So, how did it go?

>The investors loved it! The deal has definitely been sealed!

<Congrats! I told you that you'll get it.

>I honestly wouldn't know what I would do without you. You are my muse ;)

<Never miss the chance to be cheeky don't you.

>You love it anyway. So, what are you doing right now?

<I'm out with your sister and Hermione.

>Let me guess, shopping?

<You say it like it's a bad thing. Besides, I only got one book.
