Fred groaned, crumpling up another piece of parchment and throwing it across the room in frustration.
You put down your book and walked towards him, gently massaging his shoulders in an attempt to calm him down a little.
"Freddie," you hummed, "why don't you take a break? You've been working on that for the past few hours."
Fred looked up at you, "I want to, love. But I have to finish this up."
You raised a brow at him, "You have to? Or you want to?"
He closed his eyes and sighed; you knew your boyfriend too well.
"I want to." He answered quietly.
You continued on massaging his shoulders, feeling his relax under your touch, "What do you say we go out for some butterbeer? Give you a little break."
He nodded, pressing a kiss to your cheek, "That sounds wonderful princess."
The two of you headed out of the flat and down the shop where George was closing up.
"Where are you two heading lovebirds?" He asked with a teasing smile.
"Just out on a small date." Fred asked, "Wanna come with?"
George laughed, "I'd rather do something else than be a third wheel, especially to the two of you. But, thanks for the offer."
The two of you then walked out of the shop, arms looped around each other.
Once you had managed to order some butterbeer and find a table. Both of you are engaged in a conversation.
It was just like the old times. When you and Fred would sneak out of Hogwarts and head to Hogsmeade for a glass of butterbeer or two. Madam Rosmerta would just shake her head at the two of with a fond smile – but served you anyway.
Tonight, Fred seemed a little bit distracted. Occasionally zoning out of a conversation and just looking out of the window.
"What's got you so bothered Freddie?" You asked, taking a sip of your drink.
Your boyfriend averted his gaze from the window and turned it back to you.
He stayed silent for a moment before deciding, "Nothing."
"Freddie," You cooed, reaching across the table to take his hand into yours.
"Don't worry about me princess. Like I said, it's nothing." He said, giving you a reassuring smile.
But, 3 years of dating gave you the ability of reading him like an open book.
"We've been through so much together. Besides, you always listen to my problems. This time, it's my turn to listen to you." You said as you gently squeezed his hand.
He heaved a sigh, "Everything is just so overwhelming. The shop is booming with business and that's wonderful and all. And, I'm still adjusting from being a student who pulls pranks 24/7 to a professional businessman. I don't know. I'm starting to think that this isn't the right choice after all."
You frowned, getting more worried by every passing minute, "What do you mean?"
"This has nothing to do with you, sweetheart. I hope you know how proud I am you were created." He reassured, leaning forward to press a kiss on your forehead.
Fred then continued, "Things go well now. But what if everything goes south in the future? What if the success is just temporary? Then I'll become a failure to everyone. Then, I'll have to let you go, even if I don't want to. 'Cause you don't deserve to be with such a failure."
This time you were holding on to his hand tightly, as if he would disappear if you didn't.
"Fred, I could never leave you for the world." You said, running your thumb across the back of his hand, "I don't care if things go wrong, I'll always stay by your side – I practically see my future in your eyes Freddie. I can't live without you."
He visibly relaxed at your words, "Thank you princess."
