Mina: Morning with Mina

It's a Sunday when the temperature leans above a terrible sixty. You don't think you've experienced this kind of weather, but you're thankful and you're hoping it won't ever come back again. You're surprised you're not sweating as much as you usually do.

When you walk into the kitchen, it's a heatwave, but Mina stands in the midst of it all, completely unbothered and cooking you two dinner. You love her, more than you can express, and you can feel nothing but butterflies when you see her, even after years of dating.

"Hey." You smile instantly as you walk closer to her. She glances at you, smiles, and nods meekly, then goes back to doing her job. It's not a weird gesture at all, since you've always been the one to initiate any sort of skinship or interaction. You know it isn't anything, like maybe she's tired of you. It's just how she acts, and you like how she isn't that much of a bold person. You find it charming.

"Aren't you like. . . Tired?" You ask, leaning against the counters and attempting to help when she lets you. She shakes her head. "Why would I be?"

"Because it's sixty degrees."

"Mmm." She hums, a small twinkle in her eyes. You watch her intently, even when her back in turned to you. "That's okay. I don't feel hot at all. I'm making us Breakfast."

"You're an absolute sweetheart, you know that?" You thought out loud, and Mina only laughs shyly as splotches of pink spread across her cheeks. "You're also so cute."

"Stop," She says, bashful, and hides herself from you. You go closer and wrap your arms around her waist from behind, and snuggle your chin on top of her shoulder. "You're melting me." Mina declares as she turns around to face you. But she still rests her forehead on yours anyway, because as shy as she is, she loves you too much to pass on a moment like this.

"And you said you didn't feel hot," You tease, hugging her tightly despite the heat.
