Jennie Kim: Jealous

you wheeze as your burning lungs gasp for air. your legs feel numb and flimsy, near being sore and your skin has ostensibly taken on a glossy shine. "okay, i can't do this anymore," you heave as you hunker down, hands on your knees with salty drops of profuse sweat dripping down into your eyes. "you win."

jennie stares at you from the other side of the court, unimpressed, catlike eyes narrowed and thin, plump lips pursed. "wow, mommy," she drawls, hand coming to rest on her hip bone. "guess we found something you can't keep up with today."

your brows knit together, but you don't say anything else, you're more focused on getting your unsteady breathing back together.

"whatever." jennie mutters, nonchalantly twirling her pink racket in her other hand. you shoot her a sharp look that she blatantly ignores and dismisses with her signature eye roll.

your right eye twitches in what could solely be a minor annoyance, jaw rooting as you swallow your brewing anger. you surreptitiously watch her cross the court to the bench, the pleats of her short skirt swaying gracefully along with the slight breeze – exposing milky, sculptured thighs underneath tight spandex shorts.

you avert your eyes just as she bends to retrieve her water bottle (which is actually yours, but what's yours is hers). jennie had been acting up all morning, making snide remarks at anything and anyone who had the misfortune to come across her. you're not completely certain when it started, perhaps last night? the both of you went out to dinner with the rest of blackpink and everything seemed to be fine per usual until it wasn't. at one point, jennie's face had suddenly turned sour. from what? you had no clue, but you excused it as your girlfriend being tired from the day's activities.

that night, rather than cuddling up to your side as she generally does, she curled up, sulking by herself on the other side. you found it rather cute that at some point, during the night, she ended up sprawled all over you – she'll always gravitate back to you, unconscious or not. but that's the least of your concern when you don't know what's prompting your girlfriend's sudden catty mood.

meanwhile, jennie appears to be at ease. keyword, appears. her buttermilk skin tinged with barely a flicker of sweat; it probably doesn't have anything to do with the friendly tennis match you've just pitiably lost, but more likely due to the confined fire of jealousy and irritation burning up inside of her. "you want to grab something to eat?" she throws you a glare, heart speeding from your sudden apparition.

"i don't know, are you going to even notice me sitting with you?" she retorts, back turned and facings way so you have no idea what her expression resembles, though you don't need to. her words are indication enough, sweet but venomous, cupcakes sprinkled with poison.

you scowl, looking around to make sure no one is passing by and press against her back. jennie's body momentarily sinks into yours before rapidly getting a hold of herself and standing rigid. "what's gotten into you?" you whisper in her ear.

"like you fucking care." she swivels around, brown, almost russet, dyed hair whipping at your jaw.

"i suggest you check that attitude, princess," you whisper, stalking closer to her with those eyes that look so deeply into her own, your hand snaking to hold her chin between your fingers. "you've been nothing but a brat today and i'm getting sick of it."

"fuck off." jennie jeers, defiantly staring back at you. she sustains a little fire to her you'll admit, but both of you know it won't keep for long.

"say that again. i dare you." you hiss, fingertip digging into her reddening skin; jennie makes a decent attempt not to let a whimper out, biting down on her tongue, refusing to back down. but it's not so easy when you're giving her that look: the one that's left her a drooling mess, your hips mercilessly slamming into hers on the mattress or anywhere necessary to get herself properly punished.
