Chapter 17: aquarium & emma

I woke up the next morning a little earlier than I had been. It felt refreshing.

I slowly sat up in the hotel bed and stretched my arms. I then turned my body and planted my feet on the ground next to the bed. I stood up and stretched out my legs while rubbing the sleep away from my eyes.

Today I was going to go to the aquarium. I decided it'd be best not to say anything 'til after I got back from there since I am a faceless streamer and I don't want someone to recognize me and for me to lose a large portion of the privacy I'd done a great job keeping.

I put on a loose t-shirt and some boot cut jeans I'd purchased the other day while at Target. The t-shirt was a "Tom and Jerry" t-shirt I'd found and the mens section, and the jeans were dark blue. I tucked the shirt in halfway, deciding it'd be best not to tuck it all the way seeing as I didn't have a belt to wear with it. 

I slid on my sneakers and headed for the door with my phone, AirPods, wallet, and car keys in my pockets. 

Did I mention that these jeans actually had pockets? And that they can actually hold all the random crap I bring with me? 

Anyways, I made my way out of the hotel and headed out to my car. I then made my way on over to the aquarium having to use a navigation app on my phone seeing as I'd never been here before.

~ time skip to the aquarium, 9:45 am ~

I arrived and went on in and bought myself a pass. I walked into the actual building and I was immediately surrounded by tanks full of cool looking fish. It was amazing. 

I continued to explore the building and see all sorts of different sea life. They even had a turtle rescue with turtles they'd saved from the wild and were now nourishing back to health before planning on releasing them into the wild once more. It was so cool.

I spent pretty much my entire day walking around the aquarium seeing a bunch of different sea animals. It was fun. I enjoyed it a lot.

I left the building around around 12 to go get some lunch. Damn, I spent a lot of time there, it was cool though, so it was worth it, I thought. While I was in there I took a lot of pictures, which I'd need to go through and choose which ones to keep and which ones to eat while eating lunch.

~ time skip to later after lunch, back at hotel once more, 1:15 pm ~

Since this hotel wasn't that busy and I had nothing better to do, I decided to go down to the pool. It was outside so if I wanted I could just layout and soak up some sun (mostly likely getting sunburnt since that's what seems to always happen). 

I made my way down there and set my stuff on one of those lounge chairs. I then applied some sunscreen and laid in the sun.

After a little while I started to get hot so I decided to get in the pool. 

I walked over to the steps and slowly started to walk down them into the pool.

"Holy fuck this is cold! Oh my god!" I exclaimed, definitely way louder than need be. And of course, just as I say that someone walks out.

It was a girl, she seemed to be in her early twenties. I could see her trying to hold back a laugh at my statement as I felt my cheeks heat up with embarrassment.

She set her stuff down and made her way over the edge of the pool where she bent down and reached her hand out to me, "Hi, I'm Emma," she said with a smile.

"I'm Briar," I said as I shook her hand.

"It's nice to meet you Briar."

Emma had darker skin, and thick dark curls. She was beautiful to say the least.
