A few hours had passed since Monse had given birth to their daughter, Natalia.
Ruby, abuelita, geny, and Jamal had all went home, leaving Monse and cesar some time alone until her dad showed up.
Due to her being a small baby, she had to be kept in the incubator for the first few hours since being born, however, was able to be kept in the room with her parents.
The nurse had given permission for Monse to hold her for a little.
"She's so precious...and tiny" she giggled, still in awe of the baby she held between her arm and chest. "She's beautiful, just like you." Cesar whispered, causing Monse to blush a bit. "I need to shower, I feel disgusting and my dads gonna be here in a bit" Monse spoke, sitting up a bit. Cesar nodded and carefully took the baby, placing her into her little bed before kissing her head.

"Cesar?"
"Yeah?" He answered, sitting on the bed infront of his girlfriend.
"What happened today?" She asked, kinda smiling, kind of serious.
"A lot, you're gonna need to be more specific" he chuckled.
"You said spooky got stabbed....you left for hours, only to come back to the hospital looking like....that...and you come with Olivia." Monse went on, picking at her hospital band. "What's all that about?"

Cesar sighed, pausing for a moment before speaking. "They found out...about Latrell." He looked down.

"Who found out..?"

"My brother....the Santos" he responded. "Oscar wasn't stabbed, it was a lie to get me to go back over there, since I had been avoiding them."

Monse placed a hand over her mouth, "...they jumped you..."
Cesar simply nodded.
"Cesar...you kn-"
"I passed out. I don't remember what happens next. I woke up in the hospital, a few floors down from this one. Apparently they beat me and tossed me out, and that's where oliva found me...and took me here."

Monse looked puzzled, many questions coming to mind. "Wait...so Olivia told the santos you didn't kill Latrell?? And set you up?"

"No, Latrell told the santos himself, he told olivas father that I threatened him, she had nothing to do with any of it" he spoke
Monse simply looked at him, looking at the bruises and scars he had.
"Did-...are you out of the santos?"

"I don't know" was all cesar replied, completely unsure. "I am not going back for a long time, though."

"But you need to get this settled cesar! You need to at least find out if you were actually jumped out or not, because we don't need any more unresolved shit happening to us, especially now"

"Monse listen, i have priorities now. You and Natalia. I don't care about anyone else. I promised you, months ago, that I'd be here for you, and I mean that. I don't want you to worry about me anymore."

Monse sighed. "That's gonna be hard. You scared the shit out of me today, you know that?"

"Ruby made it pretty clear" cesar laughed. "He doesn't hate you, neither does Jamal. They were just mad at you for the abandoning me thing" Monse cut in.

"Yeah, which I'm sorry about"
"I know cesar, I forgive you. You don't have to apologize anymore, you can apologize by just being present, and helping me out with the baby." Monse said, looking over at Natalia, who had fallen back asleep.

Cesar smiled and nodded, bringing Monse closer to him as he kissed her temple. "Let me help you get cleaned up" he said sweetly. She smiled and stopped him. "Cesar, babe, I think you need to get cleaned up first. My dads gonna be here, and unless you feel like explaining what went down, and risking getting kicked out of my house, I suggest you shower." She laughed.
"That bad huh?" He smirked
"Lil bit" monse giggled and moved to pick the baby back up, cradling her as Cesar went to shower.

About an hour later, Monses dad had made it into the room, greeting the baby happily.
"She looks exactly like you when you were born" Monty spoke, pacing the room slowly while cradling his daughters newborn.
"Yeah, except with black hair" monse giggled and looked over at Cesar, who was sitting beside her.
"I wish I was here when she was born, I'm so sorry" her dad said sadly, feeling guilty about missing his only child's big event.
"No, dad, I don't want you caught up on that. It's totally ok, you had work, wasn't your fault." She smiled softly, Monty only returning one.
"So baby is all healthy?" He asked
"Yup! We are gonna stay for a few more days just for checks and stuff, especially because she's so tiny, but then we can come home." Monse said
"And you can help us with all the diaper changes you want" Cesar voiced in.
"Now that is what I don't miss" Monty laughed, looking down at Natalia.

They all chatted for a few more hours, Monty had left around 7pm, leaving the pair alone in the room.

"I cant decide if I'm more hungry, or tired" monse declared

"You want me to get you something to eat?" Cesar asked. "Hmm...no, I should probably sleep...considering I haven't done it in like 2 days" she giggled.
"We can get a big breakfast in the morning" Cesar responded, covering monse up with the blanket and sitting beside her, wrapping her up with his arms.

She sighed contently, looking around the room, moving her gaze to her daughter, laying in the bassinet near her.
It wasn't long before Monse fell asleep, Cesar gently watching over her. He couldn't help but begin to worry about spooky, and what might happen when Monse and him go back home. Would it even be safe? Latrell could do anything to anyone. He had to keep them safe.
