The longest day

It's been 24 hours since monse last heard from Cesar, she started to get worried so she tried to call him.

No answer

She felt so lonely, He's only been gone a day and it felt like a year.

Monse threw on a light flannel shirt and shorts, and walked over to spookys house
*knock knock*
Spooky answered the door, smirking
"Aye whatsup hyna" he joked
Monse rolled her eyes "wheres Cesar?" She asked
"He's inside, helping"
Monse looked around "with what?"

"Santos business" he replied, blocking her from seeing inside. "don't worry he'll be done soon" he finished and closed the door on Monse
She sighed and walked back to her house, where on the way bumped into Jamal on his way to school
"Watch where you're going...backstabber" he snarled

"leave me alone! I'm not in the mood" Monse spoke and ran back to her house.
Jamal stood there. knowing something was wrong, followed Monse.

Monse laid in bed as she heard a knock on the window, she jumped up expecting to see Cesar...instead she saw Jamal.
"What are you doing here? I told you to leave me alone" Monse opened the window
"Look im sorry, but why aren't you at school? What's wrong?" He replied, climbing in through the window

"My dads not letting me go" she sat down on her bed
"And why is that?" Jamal sat next to her
"Because of the whole...situation" she points at her stomach
"Ohhh...well...I'm sorry mon, I know how excited you were to experience high school" he lays his hand on her shoulder
"I don't even care about that anymore..." she falls back on her pillows and sighs "I'm just worried...about Cesar"
Jamal turns to her "why? I thought you two were good"
"I thought so too...but spooky is keeping him busy. And I haven't heard from him since yesterday." She ran her fingers through her straightened hair.
Jamal's face turned soft "aw.."
"He Practically moved in with me...and I thought spooky understood. But I guess not if he's just gonna steal him from me" she pouted
"Everything will work out, it always does. You know how Oscar is...extremely pushy. Just wait until you see Cesar, talk it out with him" he comforted her.
"I will, thanks" she smiled softly
"No problem!" Jamal looked at his watch "AHH IM GONNA BE LATE! TEXT YOU LATER MON" he screeched, jumping out her window.

Monse got up laughing, she went over to close the window when Cesar came over and put his hand in between to keep it open.
Monse glared at him... "where have you been?" She bites the inside of her cheek

"Just doing things for Oscar" he chuckles but clearly Monse isn't amused. He opens the window more and comes in. "I'm sorry I was gone for so long.."
Monse sat at her desk "it's fine...I wouldn't care so much about you being gone if you just called me back ..or at least texted me so I knew you were ok" she said, not looking at him.
"Spooky took my phone, I wanted to communicate with you but he didn't let me.. when I'm over there I'm strictly his. I want to be here with you Monse but you have to remember I'm a Santos too" he told her
Monse felt the sympathy in his voice and sat next to him
"I know...and I'm sorry for being so pushy but I'm all alone here, you heard my dad...when he's gone your all I have" she spoke
Cesar grabbed Monses hand "your not alone, I'm here now. And I promise to talk to Spooky about letting me spend more time out of the gang"
Monse smiled slightly "I trust you.."
Cesar leaned in to kiss her
"I love you" He said
"I love you too" she responded, giving him a kiss back.
"You should get to school" monse spoke
"Hangout afterwards?" Cesar said, grabbing his backpack that he kept in her room
Monse nodded "of course"

Cesar walked to school but all he could think about was Monse and the Santos.
Two things that contradict his life.
"Be with Monse but be shunned by his brother" or "be affiliated with the Santos and shunned by Monse"
He thought to himself ...he never knew he'd have to chose between his brother and girlfriend. All he knew for right now is that when his baby is born, it can't get into the same life he has. It had to stay far away from the Santos. So does Monse.
