~Eden's POV~
I sat down at the table with Si and Jagger, scooting my chair in as I bounced my leg in a slight nervous habit. Although Jagger had always been cordial with me, it wasn't like we were friends or anything in the slightest. It was just the normal, distant kind of friendless you'd have with a friend's younger sibling. Because of that, I felt a little bit awkward and out of place, as if I was preventing them from being themselves around one another.
"Why would you talk about that, dumbass?" Silas grumbled to Jagger, who just shrugged his shoulders. "What? I didn't see her there. How was I supposed to know?" He asked defensively, causing my lips to twitch up in amusement. I grabbed one of the menus from where they sat in the middle of the table and pulled it over to me, beginning to look through it. "You know you can go if you want to, Si. Don't let me rain on your parade." I assured my brother, fiddling with the edge of the menu as I glanced up at him. He frowned and crossed his arms over his chest, leaning his forearms onto the surface of the table. "It's fine, E. I'm not gonna ditch you at home again." He responded.
"Eden could always come with us. She's over twenty one now, so she's technically allowed, you know." Jagger piped in, and the mention of me in a club sounded so ridiculous that I just laughed, thinking he was joking. "N-No, no, that's okay. I don't really like crowded places very much." I said, shaking my head.
Jagger raised a dark eyebrow at me and hummed. "Okay, well then we won't go clubbing tonight. Movie night instead?" He suggested, looking over at my brother. I blinked, taken aback at the fact that he was just both kind of inviting himself over and suddenly changing his mind. "You guys really don't have to base what you do off of me. I've spent more than just a night at home by myself, so I think I can handle it." I said, glancing back and forth between Silas and Jagger.
However, Si just frowned at me and cocked his head to the side. "Fine." He murmured, letting out a heavy sigh. "If you're sure that you're fine with it, then I'll go." He decided, to which I sent him a look, a little upset about the fact that he seemed to think I had to approve before he could do something. "You know I'm never going to be upset if you want to hang out with Jagger or someone else, or whatever." I told him, looking back down at the menu again to pick out what I wanted to eat.
Si frowned, but gave me a small smile after a moment, beginning to look through the menu as well. We all ordered our food and began to talk, the conversation slightly awkward but mostly just because Jagger and I hadn't ever really had a proper conversation before. "How old are you now, anyway?" Jagger asked, narrowing his eyes at me in wonder. I looked up at him, intimidated by his dark eyes on me. "T-Twenty two. I turned twenty two a few months ago." I answered, fiddling with my fingers beneath the table. Silas suddenly threw his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his side, giving me a noogie on top of my head that made me exclaim in surprise. "And it was an amazing birthday because I was there, right?" He chuckled, my face burning as Jagger just watched with an amused look on his face.
"Stop, Silas!" I exclaimed, embarrassed that he was treating me like a little kid. I guess some things never changed with him.
He chuckled, leaning away from me quickly when I began pushing at his chest in attempt to get away, huffing as I hurriedly tried to smooth my hair down again. "You messed up my hair." I grumbled at him, pouting slightly. Si just grinned playfully and looked up when the waiter arrived with our food, our conversation dying down when the food was set in front of all of us. The waiter left afterwards, leaving the three of us to eat our lunch in peace.
"Don't be bringing any girls home tonight, by the way." I said to Silas as I began to eat, giving him a look. The last thing I wanted was to hear my brother having sex with someone, ever. Jagger snorted, taking a sip of the sweet tea that he had ordered as he glanced over at me, raising his brows. "It's not like you haven't brought over guys." Si huffed, causing my jaw to drop and my face to burn. "That was one time, and I was eighteen!" I reminded him defensively, embarrassed. "Besides, we weren't even having sex and I never brought anyone over again." I added, to which Silas just smiled smugly. "Yeah, thanks to me." He chuckled.
What had happened was that I'd brought a boy over that had been interested in me and we just sort of ended up making out in my room, and Silas happened to walk in. It was safe to say that he had certainly scared that boy off, and he still continued to scare off any boy who tried to get close to me. Honestly, at this point I might as well have worn a chastity belt because it was essentially the same thing.
"You suck." I grumbled, shooting him a glare as I took a sip of water. He just chuckled, continuing to eat his food. "I won't bring any girls over. Scouts honor." He assured me.

Thankfully, Silas didn't end up bringing any girls home that night, just like he had said. However, when I heard a series of knocks on the front door as I was in my room in my pajamas, I was a little bit concerned because Silas was supposed to have his keys on him.
I walked down the hall and to the front door, swinging it open with a frown on my face. To my surprise, Jagger stood in the doorway, holding up Silas' very drunk body with an unamused look on his face. Knowing my brother, he had probably given Jagger quite a tough time tonight with how drunk he appeared to be. I raised my brows, looking at the mess that was my brother as he slouched into Jagger's side and his eyelids drooped. "What on earth?" I mumbled, raising my brows. "I didn't want him to bring home girls, but I didn't want this either." I groaned, shaking my head.
Jagger groaned and lugged Silas' nearly passed out body into the apartment while I shut the door, glancing over at Jagger. "Here, come this way." I told him softly, beginning to lead him down the hallway towards Si's bedroom so he didn't have to hold him any longer. I pushed open the bedroom door and let Jagger drag Silas into the room, where he practically tossed him into bed with a grunt. "Heavy motherfucker." He huffed, raising his long, muscular arms over his head and clasping his fingers together as he stretched his body. The bottom of his t-shirt lifted, exposing his chiseled abs and a little trail of dark hair that led down to the waistband of his jeans.
Realizing that I was looking, I quickly looked away and shook my head to myself, approaching Silas' bed that Jagger was standing behind. I pushed Si closer towards the middle of the bed and flipped him onto his stomach in case he threw up in his sleep, not wanting him to choke on it. "Thanks for bringing him home." I said softly, pulling the blanket up over Silas. He grumbled, leaning over the bed to flick Si on the back of the head. "Tell him I said he owes me for getting so drunk that he cock blocked me." Jagger told me, the little dangly earring in his left ear glinting against the low lighting. I blinked up at him in surprise and he smirked in amusement at the stumped look on my face, chuckling as he strolled out of Silas' room. Trailing behind him, I quietly shut the bedroom door and heard him speak from ahead of me a little. "I'm gonna head home. You good here?" He asked, his hand already on the handle of the front door.
He glanced at me over his shoulder and met my gaze with his gray eyes, cocking up a brow curiously. "Yeah, I'm good. Are you sure you're sober enough?" I asked him, to which he nodded his head and swung open the door. "Don't worry about me, birdie. I'm completely sober." He assured me, digging into the pocket of his jeans to pull out his car keys.
"See you." He said, not waiting for a reply before he left the apartment, leaving me by myself in the quiet of the living room.
