~Eden's POV~
A couple of days later I had my bags all packed up once again, ready to bring them back to Silas and I's apartment since my brother would be coming back home from his trip today.
As I was standing in my room that Jagger had let me stay in, the sound of his heavy footsteps could be heard behind me, making me glance over my shoulder. Just as I had expected, Jagger's large frame leaned against the wall, his hands shoved in the front pockets of his pants. "Hi." I approached him with a small smile, watching his little earring jangle when he frowned at me and lowered his head to look down to meet my gaze.
"Is it selfish of me to say that I wish Si wasn't coming back yet? Just so I could keep you here with me for a little longer." He wondered, speaking in a low murmur. I couldn't help but to giggle, my arms winding around his waist as I leaned into his front, wanting to feel his muscles and the warmth of him against me for as much as I could. Once Silas was home, I didn't know what would happen. "If that makes you selfish, then I might be a bit selfish too." I admitted softly, resting my chin on his chest. He hummed, long arms tightly wrapping around my waist to pull me up against him, squishing my chest against his.
I bit my lip, giving him a small smile as he ducked his head down to brush his lips gently against mine, kissing me so softly it was like his lips almost didn't touch mine at all. A soft breath left my lips as I felt his mouth begin to trail kisses down the slope of my neck, his earring gently brushing against my throat from how close he was as he kissed down my neck. My hands gently gripped at the soft fabric of his shirt, a shiver racing up the length of my spine. He must've felt the way I shivered against him because he smirked slightly against my skin, leaning away to stare down at me.
"Have I ever told you how much I love your earring?" I said softly, reaching up to gently flick the silver piercing, watching it swing slightly from the action. He hummed, trailing his gray eyes over my face. "You do, hm?" He responded, not seeming to mind at all when I played with the dangly cross pendant. Nodding my head, I trailed my fingers along the sharp line of his jaw, feeling the very light stubble that was beginning to grow. "It suits you." I told him, flattening my palm against his chest. He gave me a sly, sexy smile and slid a large hand down the middle of my spine, grabbing a handful of my butt. "You think it's hot, don't you, little bird?" He teased, causing my face to warm. It never failed to surprise me how easily he could see through me and knew what I was thinking.
"M-Maybe." I said passively, trying to play it cool. Jagger just chuckled, catching me off guard when he grasped my thighs and lifted me off the floor, earning a squeal of surprise from my lips. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I clung to him tightly, keeping my legs around his waist.
He kissed me again, more firm this time as he slid his hands from my thighs to my ass, supporting my weight. I laced my fingers through the strands of his soft hair and moaned against his mouth, feeling his warm tongue slip into my mouth to tease my own. When he broke the kiss a minute later, the warmth of his breath fanned softly against my face as neither of us bothered to pull any farther away. "Your bags are packed, right?" He murmured, reluctantly setting me onto my feet again. I nodded my head and pulled my shorts down a little more seeing as they had ridden up when he'd picked me up, peering up at him.
There was a look in his eye that told me he wasn't looking forward to my brother coming back, but he smiled at me nonetheless. "Then we should get you home so you're there when he gets back." He said, grabbing two of my four bags so as to help me carry them out to his car. I grabbed the other two, quietly following after him.
Although I would obviously never say it to Silas, I was almost upset that he was already coming home so soon, just like Jagger was. Of course a part of me was excited to see my brother again, but I had grown so used to being here in Jagger's home, sleeping in his bed and waking up in his arms. I'd grown perhaps too used to that, and I was now realizing how much I didn't want to leave him because I wouldn't be able to have those things anymore.
We headed out to his car, loading my bags into the trunk before he and I got into the front seats. I pulled on my seatbelt and glanced over at him, curling my legs up on the seat with my converse covered feet beneath my butt. "Are you going to head back home after you drop me off?" I asked him, biting on my bottom lip.
A thoughtful hum left his lips as he continued down the road, thinking it over. "I'll probably stay over for a little while, at least until Si gets back." He answered, causing me to smile to myself slightly. "Unless you don't want me to..." He added as an afterthought, to which I quickly shook my head and looked at him with wide eyes. "No!" I said quickly, absentmindedly playing with the little strawberries embroidered onto the fabric of my shorts. "I was hoping you'd stay." I admitted.
Jagger smiled, seemingly content with the words that'd just left my mouth. A comfortable silence fell between us for the remainder of the ride back to my apartment, where Jagger parked his car and then began to help my unload my bags from the trunk. When we stepped into my apartment with my bags, I gently kicked the front door shut behind me, the time that I'd spent away from the apartment now making me feel slightly out of place here despite the fact that I'd lived here for years. He and I put my bags in my room, my eyes peering up at him over my shoulder when I felt his hands gently grasp my waist from behind as I kicked off my shoes over by my dresser.
Butterflies fluttered in my stomach as I turned around to face him. His grip on my waist tightened, pulling me into him more. "Remember, don't say anything about us to Silas, Eden. Yeah?" He muttered, intense gray eyes staring into mine.
Though I didn't like the idea of having to lie to my brother about this sort of thing, I knew that Jagger was right. Silas had never let me have a boyfriend before, and the one time I'd had a boy over, I never saw him again because Silas scared him away after catching us kissing. Jagger was right; I'm a grown woman, and I should be able to date if I want to, but I would admit that the idea of dating Silas' best friend and hiding it from him made me feel guilty. Still, I nodded my head up at Jagger in understanding, leaning into his large frame.
"O-Okay." I whispered to him. "I won't say anything."
