~Jagger's POV~
"You're not going to drink?" Silas asked me as we sat at the bar of the ICON Lounge, which was actually a nightclub. I sipped at my water that I had ordered and simply shook my head, watching him as he downed another shot. "No. Who's gonna get your sorry ass home to Eden?" I responded, cocking up a brow at him. Si just huffed and ordered another drink, though this time it wasn't a shot. "Fine, then. I guess you have a point." He admitted begrudgingly, not seeming to be very thrilled at the admittance.
He grunted and slung an arm around the shoulder of the girl that he'd been hanging out with for the night, who seemed more than happy with him touching her and being close. "I'm surprised you aren't chatting up some girl. You've never turned down the opportunity to get laid." He said, causing me to simply shrug my shoulders as I tapped my index finger against the surface of the bar top. "I can always chat up girls some other time." I responded dismissively, as I had no interest in even talking to girls, let alone hooking up with any of them. The only woman I wanted was Eden, but I obviously couldn't say that to Silas. He'd probably hate me if he knew even the simple fact that I'd kissed her, and I'd be in for hell if he found out how far our relationship had gone.
Silas laughed, likely thinking that I was making a dumb joke, and rolled his eyes. "Sure, you can." He chuckled, leaning into the girl's side. "Let loose, man. I feel bad making you be the party pooper. That's usually my sister's job." He said in a teasing tone, grinning down at the girl before they met in a harsh kiss that made me roll my eyes.
I leaned into the bar top, the thumping of the bass from the loud music making my head thump. It was strange, the fact that I used to be pretty into partying and one night stands and now I wanted to go see Eden while she was alone, but I knew that wasn't an option for obvious reasons.
A heavy sigh left my lips as I glanced around the packed nightclub, not at all fazed by the crowd of sweaty people that were all practically dry humping one another in just civilized enough of a manner for it to be called dancing, or at least by some people. On the opposite side of the bar, my gray eyes connected with a pair of dark brown ones and I stared for a minute, narrowing my gaze in annoyance as I waited for the blonde haired woman to quit looking at me. She must've not gotten the hint because she just smiled and rose from her seat, beginning to round the bar to approach me. I didn't move, not because I was interested in her but rather because I didn't care enough about her presence to want to move in the first place.
She stopped beside my stool that I was on and I spoke before she could get a word out. "Not interested, so move along." I told her bluntly. I saw no point in beating around the bush, but my harsh truth didn't seem to be enough to deter her because she didn't move from her spot. "I'm Aurora." She introduced herself to me and I gave her a very blatantly annoyed look. "Didn't ask." I stated. She frowned and took a step closer, catching me off guard when she placed her hand on my bicep and leaned into me with a faux look of innocence. I went to shove her off of me when Silas whooped in a celebratory manner, clapping me roughly on the back. "See? Now you can let loose!" He exclaimed, his encouragement of the situation just making her advances more irritating.
Only when the blonde woman tried to kiss me did I finally shove her off, not caring if Silas saw or if he thought I was behaving strangely because of it. I stood up from the bar and roughly pushed my stool in, grabbing Silas by the back of his shirt to yank him off of his own stool and away from the woman he'd been reeling in the entire night. "We're going back to your apartment." I snapped, leaving Aurora speechless as I dragged Si through the crowd of bodes.
"Hey!" Silas exclaimed, sounding much more sober now than the last time I'd spoken to him. "I was working my magic, J!" He whined, only earning an annoyed roll of the eyes as I broke out of the crowd and pulled Silas outside with me.
"Wait." Silas grumbled as I leaned him against the outside of the building in hopes that he'd somehow sober up even faster. "What was that about, dude? She was practically throwing herself at you and you didn't even care." He pointed out, a furrow within his brows. I pursed my lips and ran my fingers through the length of my hair in frustration. "Not my type, that's all." I dismissed with a shrug. "Come on, out to my car so I can bring you home." I said and led my way over. Silas got in the passenger seat and buckled his seatbelt, narrowing his eyes at me. I couldn't help but to notice that, though his eyes were slightly the same, his weren't as pretty as Eden's. No, not by a long shot.
"Not your type?" He sniffed and shook his head. "Then what is your type, if it isn't her?" He pressed, crossing his arms over his chest. Silas had been my best friend for years and had seen me go through a parade of women, so he knew that I didn't have a type that I was into.
Eden, I thought to myself. Eden's my type.
