He woke up to the tutting of Simon's mom.

"Boys, two rules! I thought you guys could handle that!" she said, with a huge grin on her face.

"Ay, lo siento, mamá. We just sort of fell out. Won't happen again."

"Ah, ya, ya. Tell it to someone who'll believe you. Come to the table, I'll whip you guys up some eggs. You're okay with eggs, Wille?"

"Totally! Thanks, Ms. Linda."

"Oh, no need to be so formal. Linda will do. Oye, Simon! Get the orange juice out and serve your guest!"

With a conspiratorial grin, Simon got up, pushed the two cups on the table at Wilhelm, and got up to get the juice out of the fridge.

"Right, while Mom's in the kitchen, we need to talk about what tomorrow's gonna look like. Are we out, are we waiting for the notice from the palace, what's the plan?"

Wilhelm groaned. "Ugh, I dunno. I think we need to wait for the palace notice to be like out, out, but I think we can sit together and stuff, don't you think. I mean, as long as there's no way to get like photographic evidence of us being together, we should be good. And it's just a few weeks."

Simon lowered his gaze. "I mean, I guess. Can you call the press office tomorrow and see how we can get this thing going? I'm just not up for hiding for a whole month."

Wilhelm hated disappointing Simon. He knew the only reason Simon had accepted him back with open arms, and hell, into his house, was because the announcement would be coming soon.

Wilhelm nodded, "Yeah, I'll give them a call first thing in the morning. We'll see what they've got planned."

With that, SImon's mom brought out the sizzling pan of eggs with tomatoes and some bread. "Ta-da! We've got eggs. You boys enjoy. Wilhelm, I'll drop you off at school around noon? I have a shift at the hospital at 1pm, so it'll be on my way. That okay?"

"Oh, um, actually, come to think of it, I think Malin is still outside the house..."

At that, they all looked out, and there was Malin, sitting there, waiting for him. And not looking too thrilled about it, either.

"You've gotta be kidding me," she said. "Well, go out there and get her! I'll put on some more eggs."
