Maya POV
'Sam! Dean!' Uncle Bobby yells as I come down the stairs with Sam, my bag over my shoulder and a huge grin on my face.
'Yeah, Bobby?' Sam asks, turning into the living room instead of heading outside. I poke my head around the front door and wave Dean inside. 'Uncle Bobby wants you.'
Uncle Bobby is sat at his desk with a huge pile of books. I plonk myself down on the couch, whilst Sam sits in the armchair. Dean doesn't bother.
'Dean, I think that handprint was definitely the work of an angel,' Uncle Bobby narrows his eyes at Dean.
'No. Nuh uh, there is no way an angel got me out of hell,' Dean narrows his eyes back. Hell?! I'm about to open my mouth and say something, when Sam catches my eye. He's shaking his head, only slightly, as if to say, Dean's having a moment, let him carry on.
I keep quiet.
They start arguing about something to do with Cas not being an angel, and I don't quite understand what's going on.
'Hey!' I butt in. I was gonna get some answers! 'What's all this talk about not actually knowing if angels are real or not?! Cas is an angel! Hell, apparently even I'm an angel!'
'Maya? You feeling okay?' Dean asks, genuinely sounding concerned.
'Uh, yeah, I'm fine!' I exclaim.
'Then why do you think you're an angel?' Sam has a really concerned look on his face.
'Because! Cas told us! I've got Isda's grace in me!' Okay, so maybe I sound a little crazy, but it's true! I'm about to say something else, when a date catches my eye. It's written at the top of the newspaper on Uncle Bobby's desk: Saturday, 21st July, 2008.
'Please tell me this isn't today's paper?' I try to be hopeful.
'Yeah, why? I picked it up from the shop this morning,' Sam replies.
'But it's not 2008! It's 2010!' I'm getting really freaked out now.
'No, it's not, Maya. Maybe you should lie down,' Uncle Bobby says anxiously, standing up.
'No! I'm fine! Where's Cas? He'll tell you!' I probably look like a mad woman, but only Cas could persuade them, and tell us what was going on.
As if on cue, a flutter of wings signal Cas' entrance.
'Cas! Tell them that it's 2010! Everything that happened yesterday!' I tell him. He stares at me with piercing blue eyes, until he slowly looks around at everyone else, and sighs.
'Maya, what happened was staged. You were supposed to find out like that, but time has managed to wind itself back,' Cas explains.
'What the hell is going on?!' Uncle Bobby pushes Cas away from me, but I stop him.
'Uncle Bobby! No! I think I know what's going on. Basically, I have an angel's grace inside of me, and the other angels are trying to find me to extract it. An angel's grace is their mojo, the stuff that gives them their powers. Yesterday was the 20th of July, 2010, and I met you two, and you'd all known Cas for ages, and I'd just been on my first hunt, and then I went upstairs to pack because I was going off with you two, but then I came back downstairs and all of a sudden it's 2008 and I don't know what's going on!' I cry, getting really worked up because, this isn't happening and I want everything to go back to normal.
'Castiel, is that true?' Dean's starting to look angry. Is he protecting me?
'Yes, you're meant to meet later in the future, but, Maya needed to know about her true identity,' he explains.
