FIRST CONCERT EVER

I licked my lips and blew out some air, trying to catch some heat, given that the temperature was freezing. I was trying to ignore how cold it was, maybe because I could catch hypothermia and die, but I had to man up and wait for a few minutes... I mean, my best friend was about to climb up and rock the stage.

This wasn't his first concert, but this was the very first HUGE concert he was going to rock. Even when I was freezing, you can all bet your sweet cherry asses that I was going to be standing here, cheering and singing for my best friend.

Taking a deep breath, I brought my hands towards my mouth, catching some heat, as I blinked away the ice from my eyelashes. I knew that coming here without the proper outfit, was a disaster waiting to happen, but I can't regret it now, I just have to suck it up and watch my best friend shine brighter than the sun.

Me being his best friend means that I have to support him in absolutely everything, and believe that he has had some crazy ideas... but most importantly, I have to be here and support him, when he is trying to achieve his biggest dream. What I could do was question the fans that were out here trying to catch a glimpse of him. Why would I question what they are doing here? Well, because they are here on an outside court with a temperature of -2 ºC, I mean, I am very much aware that he is awesome, but I do believe that dying from hypothermia isn't a brilliant idea.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" The voice from the announcer caught my attention, reminding me that I was at a concert. "In a few moments, Slate Hunter will come out and rock this stage!" I don't know how, but the screams got louder by the second. "Alas, before he comes out, you have to prove that you want him here! Let's hear a shout for Slate Hunter!" Cue, more ear-piercing screams.

As the screams got louder I couldn't help but flinch, and before I could make a sarcastic comment about it, I felt someone place a winter coat around my shoulders. "Hey," I smiled as I turned around and faced no other than Slate Hunter. "I can't have you die from hypothermia before you see me rock this awesome place," Slate chuckled as he kissed my head.

"You're crazy," I smiled and snuggled on the coat. "Thank you though, I was not in the mood to transform into the ice princess," I added with a chuckle. "Although, I do believe that I am missing a very important thing to be considered a princess," Slate raised his eyebrow. "To be pretty! Duh!" I rolled my eyes.

"You are gorgeous, Scotty," Slate sighed as he hugged me. "I have to go. Don't move from here okay?"

"Ditto," I nodded. "hope you break a leg," I added with a wink.

"For you, always," He added with his flirty wink and left me alone once again.

I slipped my arms and zipped up the coat, and as I took in a deep breath, I realized that Slate was using the coat before he gave it to me. I placed my hands on the pockets and started to move to the rhythm of the song that was currently playing.

I turned to face all the preparations that were occurring next to me, and it finally dawned on me how important this is for Slate. If he managed to prove to the world that he can rock it, he would be basically signing his very first world tour. His very first CD "Promise Me" had been sold out on the very first day, and the tour he made was also sold out, so you can only imagine that this concert, was to once again prove that Slate Hunter is the best.

As always, I was on the side of the stage, watching every fangirl scream her and his lungs out for my best friend. I enjoyed being on the sidelines, that was the very same reason as to why I had begged and begged Slate, to leave me out of the spotlight. We made a plan, for those who work alongside him, I am simply the amateur blogger, and well, no one cares about the blogger...

The lights went finally off and it was there and then when the real deal was starting. Screams got louder and the music started playing. I heard, don't ask me how, the familiar footsteps that Slate has, and I knew that he was getting ready to rock. I clapped my hands together and did our secret whistle, earning a small chuckle from him.

This is it.

"Today I got up, thinking about every mistake I have ever made. I thought that everything was going well, and in a breath..." (Mala Suerte, Eduardo Castillo)

I shouted and clapped as he finished his very first song. If there was something that I loved more than sleep itself, is watching Slate perform. He is a natural, and what makes it better, is that he knows exactly how to make everyone feel special in the crowd.

"Thank you!" Slate spoke over the shouting. "I would like to thank every single one of you who came here tonight! I am aware that this weather isn't perfect, but you are still here and that warms me up!" Everyone cheered. "I would also like to tell you that this concert is dedicated to my biggest fan, my best friend, and I hope that one day you can meet whom I am talking about!" He turned to grab a water bottle and winked over at me.

I mouthed him an "idiot" and then blew him a kiss.

Ladies and gentlemen: my best friend Slate Hunter.
