~Hey!! Sorry it's been a hot minute. I've had a bunch of personal stuff and school and softball season starting. I'm gonna try to post as often as possible. This one is kinda short just to get it out there but it also kinda sets up an idea in my head for some drama, so I hope you enjoy! Also wicked f-ing excited about baseball being back even though the Brewers lost to the Cubs today and my Red Sox got pushed to tomorrow, baseball is back!!!!~

Christian's POV

*At Christian's House in Malibu*

I wake up the sun shining in my face with an empty bed. I throw some sweatpants on and head downstairs to find Meg dancing in the kitchen to her country music while cooking. I smile as I walk up behind her and hug her. She jumps because I scared her but relaxes when she realizes it's me.

"Good morning babe." She says leaning to me. "Morning." I say back kissing her cheek and neck before I hear her giggle. I tighten my grip on her and rock us back and forth. We stand there together for a few minutes enjoying the company.

"How does your knee feel? You really pushed it at the gym yesterday."

"I'm good babe, it's tight and sore but good. Today I'm just gonna do cardio and some running. I'll go to the cages to start doing softball stuff. Surprisingly I'm not as bent out of shape as I thought I would be."

"Yea I'm very impressed by that baby. How much did you squat?

"I squatted like 120 yesterday babe. Can we throw for a bit today before the gym? I wanna start adding to my skill set and improving things now that I have a functioning ACL again." She said rubbing up and down my arm.

"And what skills would that be?" I say tickling her sides making her giggle. She laughs, "Not yet, gotta get back to full strength first."

"Ok. What's your PR from before surgery?"

"I could squat 150 no problem and was pushing 160. I wanna set a new PR before I head back to Boston."

"How high of a PR? Because I can get you there especially if your starting at 120 and wanna beat 160 by the New Year."

"I mean 200 would be nice but I'd get drug tested for that. At least 175 to 180. I'm gonna try upping by 10 tomorrow because 120 felt like nothing."

"That sounds like a good idea. What is your plan for today?" I say kissing her cheek. She smiles wide at my gesture. "The gym and probably the beach. I gotta get rid of my white girl look. I am pale as fuck. And the Sox are on at 4 so I gotta watch my boys."

"I'm deeply offended that you care more about the Red Sox then you do your own boyfriend."

"Oh get over it. No one from the Sox can say that they've fucked me for 4 straight hours can they?"

"They better not. Your mine." I hold her tighter and practically growl in her ear.

"That's what I thought. Besides you can watch with me. If they have to play the Yankees for the conference series, wanna make a trip home to Boston?"

I nod, "Yes. Then you can really show me around your hometown. I wanna see everything that made you. Your high school, your childhood house, everything there is that made you the incredible woman that you are today. And if possible, your mom."

"I can work something out."

"Good. When did you planning on going to the gym?"

"After breakfast. So let go so I can finish cooking." She said tapping my arms to get me to let go. I reluctantly let go but not without kissing her first. I sit on the counter and watch her cook until she finishes.

"What is with you this morning Christian?" She gives me an odd look.

"What do you mean Meg?" I say confused.

"Your clingier then usual." She states matter of factly.

I shrug, "I don't know what your talking about babe."

She just shakes her head at me. I know exactly what she means by being extra clingy today. I am being extra clingy but there's no rhyme or reason for it. I just love my girlfriend. These past few months have been rough on meg and I'm so glad that she's finally doing better and getting back to her normal self. Her surgery really did a number on her mental health. But my girl is strong and bounced back fast.

"Baby, have you thought about reaching out to Meredith about that hitting competition between me and you yet?"

"Yea, I'm gonna wait until after your birthday to do it. I've barely started hitting so I think we should wait a little bit."

I nod in response. Meg, finishes cooking for us and we eat in a comfortable silence before getting ready to go down to the beach. I pick her up and carry her upstairs. She picks up a shirt and throws it at me. We laugh but head down to the beach to throw for a bit.

"Softball or baseball?"

"Softball. But once I'm warmed up, we can use a baseball."

"Whatever you want babe."

We throw for like an hour before getting tired and laying together on the beach. We end up making out too. Which was nice. Even though we've had a lot of time together out here, it's nice when we get these little moments to ourselves. They make me fall more in love with her every time.
