billie's pov

"billie, is it?" a tall, bald dude who i'm assuming is jada's dad greets me shortly after i knock on jada's front door.

"uh, yes." i answer while straightening myself upright.

"cmon in," he says, opening the door wider for me to come inside of the house. it's kinda crazy how i've never met jada's parents before. they're workaholics so i guess that kinda explains it.

"nice to finally meet you. let's hope you live up to the expectations that jada's put on your name." he tells me while shaking my hand firmly and staring me down.

"nice to meet you too." i rush out, unsure of what to really say. he kinda scares me ngl.

"hey bil," jada smiles as she gives me a short side hug. she looks good, she's wearing a dark purple dress with a slit on the side with spaghetti straps. it really compliments her body and complexion.

"i like the outfit." she whispers to me as we hug and i cant help but to blush. i'm wearing a black and white suit with nice black dress pants. nothing too fancy but definitely nicer than what i usually wear. i wanted to wear something nice considering that this is the night where i meet my girlfriend's parents.

"billie! it's so good to meet you sweetheart!" jada's mom greets me as she engulfs me into a hug. from the corner of my eye i see jada shaking her head and i can't help but to smile.

"it's good to meet you too," i chuckle while hugging her back.

"you are so pretty!" she compliments me as we pull apart from the embrace.

"thank you, and you are too." i return the compliment while blushing like a dumbass. her mom is so nice??

"mom, stop. you're embarrassing her." jada groans as she pulls me away from her mom and towards the dining room table.

"i-jada! now your parents are gonna think that im rude and don't wanna talk to them!" i sigh while rubbing my face as we sit alone at the table.

"no they won't baby." she laughs. "you have nothing to worry about. well.. except my dad. he can be kinda crazy about who i date. but you'll be fine!" she brushes it off as she kisses my cheek.

"but- okay." i let it go with a sigh. now im even more nervous.

while we waited for her parents to join us at the table, jada told me her parents' names. she told me that her dad's name is Jacob and her mom's name is Alyssa.

we talk for a little bit and then alyssa brings both jada and i our plates and she returns with her and her husband's plates as they sit down directly across from us. of course her dad sits down right infront of me.

"so, billie, what're your grades like?" jacob asks me, earning a look from his wife and daughter.

"i actually uh.. i don't go to school anymore." i gulp.

"so you're a highschool dropout?" he raises a brow at me.

"jacob!" alyssa scolds him but he ignores her.

"i guess so yeah." i answer honestly.

"you're not gonna try to get my daughter to drop out too, correct?" he asks.
