"wait... you're joking right?" felix gasped in shock, taken aback by what he'd just heard.

was he hearing that right? did hyunjin really say that? he wasn't mishearing it or anything right? only nodding excitedly in response, he widely smiled. "of course not! we're together now."

despite hyunjin try to repeat it over and over again, felix just couldn't seem to process it. he didn't know why but there was a part of him that still can't believe it, since when did that happen? how did they do it?

"hold on, hold on..." felix stopped him for a second, raising both of his hands in the air. "so, you're telling me. that the officer you like, you're dating him now?"

"mhm!" hyunjin happily hummed. "isn't that great? i didn't expect him to actually like me back! i was completely taken aback, just like how you just acted!"

"since when did all of this happen?" he slowly blinked, still trying to adjust to the new information that felt like he'd got punched in the face.

hyunjin only laughed softly, beaming in response at the other's reaction. "since yesterday. i suddenly kissed him without his permission so i panicked and tried to apologise to him, but then he abruptly confessed back!"

"man..." felix heavily sighed as he slouched back. "i wish things can work out with me."

"i'm sure it will!" hyunjin attempted to encourage, wanting nothing more but to bring the spark inside his friend.

"nah, it won't. that cute officer will never like me back. i just know it." felix continued to sigh. "plus, you literally told me that he has no interest in me and he's not gonna break the rules, that's what you said from that officer you like."

"but you still have a small chance!" hyunjin smiled widely at him.

felix didn't say anything for a moment, only continuing to think deeply to himself. is it really worth the wait? should he not give up and keep going? is there even a point in trying? what if, all of this is for nothing?

but then again, he didn't really wanna just give his feelings up there. he likes the blonde officer a lot, he doesn't wanna give him up; he want him so much. there was nothing more that could describe how stubborn and determined he felt.

just something about the officer sparked something inside felix, he could feel nothing but happiness just by being with him. and there's nothing that could get in the way, right? so, should he really give up there?

or should he keep going? who knows, maybe there is somehow a small chance. even when it feels like it's impossible, it's not like nothing's impossible.

"maybe..." felix mumbled quietly, this making hyunjin smile brightly as he patted on his shoulder for emotional support.

"don't give up! just keep trying, who knows? maybe you'll end up getting him." he chuckled. "it took me and officer a long way before he also started developing something for me. so i'm sure something will work out."

"yeah, possibly." felix eventually smiled, turning around to face hyunjin. "i bet you miss him right now don't you?" he added, now smirking at him.

this made hyunjin feel his cheeks heat up at the thoughts of missing changbin, felix wasn't lying. he indeed miss the older already, just by being this away from him ached his heart a lot. he just wanted this to be over so he could see him again.

only releasing a small laugh, hyunjin rubbed the back of his neck. "is it that obvious?"

"of course," felix playfully scoffed. "i can see it on your face, it's so obvious. you miss him so much, you wanna be with him."
