"you're taking a day off?" chan questioned the blue haired male, receiving a silent nod from him.

"yeah, my grandma's sick in the hospital and i wanna be there to check on how she's doing." changbin smiled softly, causing the older to smile back.

"okay, i hope she's doing alright." chan stated as changbin thanked him, soon noticing something. "since you're gonna be gone for a day, who's gonna be the prison guard?"

changbin smiled wider, a particular image clouding his head. "minho hyung."

"oh, he'll do fine then! hang on, what about mr. hwang?" chan asked in curiosity to which he raised his eyebrow confusingly.

"what about him?" changbin questioned, not knowing why his name was suddenly mentioned.

"i mean, will he be fine? he really likes you, he'll probably be surprised." chan reasoned, earning himself a shrug from the younger.

"i'm sure he'll be fine, it's not like he can't live without me. also, it's only gonna be a day anyways, not like i'm gonna be away for weeks or months." changbin argued back, causing chan to nod in understanding.

"yeah, you're right. it'll be fine, don't worry about your work for now and just focus on your grandma." chan said as changbin smiled once again.

"thanks."

hyunjin couldn't help but stare cautiously at the unknown male, his lips forming into an unsatisfied pout as he folded his arms tightly. this wasn't the officer he'd wanted to see, he didn't like it at all. just where could his favourite officer be?

"who the heck are you?" he questioned in awareness, cautious eyes staring hardly at him.

this made minho stand up while walking towards his cell, smiling almost unknowingly. "i'm officer lee, i'll be in charge of the prison guard for today."

"you're not him! where's officer?" hyunjin slightly raised his voice, nothing but desiring to see changbin rested on his head.

"are you talking about officer seo? sorry but he won't be here today, he had a day off." minho explained, widening his smile into a somewhat evil grin.

"what? why?" the taller questioned, continuing to bombard minho with countless questions.

"because he has personal matters to take care of. i'm not gonna say any more though." he answered, causing hyunjin to sigh heavily with a slight scoff.

how amazing. because the older wasn't there to accompany him, his morning had pretty much been such a let down; he just needed to see him again, he needed to. this wasn't what he'd wanted, he couldn't stand not being able to not see him for a day.

just who was this officer in front of him? he wasn't changbin at all, this wasn't the kind of person who'd want to talk to him all day. it was different, everything felt different.

"you're no fun..." hyunjin silently muttered to himself, already not enjoying how the morning went.

"well, i guess you'll have to deal with me for today." minho replied, still able to hear him. "here, eat your breakfast."

hyunjin said nothing as he folded his arms even tighter, watching as minho open the door to hand him his breakfast. "i'm not eating that."
