it had only been a few minutes since changbin couldn't stop staring at the boy in the cell, his unknown eyes fully set on him reading. it wasn't until the male annoyingly set his book down as he finally looked up, an irritated look present in his eyes.

"what do you want officer? can you please stop staring at me? it's annoying." seungmin released a heavy sigh, already displeased with having another person interrupt his reading time.

changbin said nothing for a moment while straightening his back up, watching him from the far distance. "i'm not annoying you, i didn't say anything. you can continue reading you know."

"yeah but i'm not reading with someone watching me. it's both creepy and uncomfortable." he resumed to answer, staring hardly back at him. "just tell me what you want so you can leave, i've already had someone else ruin my day and i'm certainly not having this too."

"someone else as in hwang hyunjin?" changbin questioned, entirely ignoring his other words.

seungmin stopped reading for a moment, just staring at him cautiously. "so that's his name. whatever, not like it's important anyways. is that why you came to me?" 

"well, i was hoping for something else but since we've come to this topic, sure. i'll just come to the point since you're very impatient and straightforward. what did you say to him?" changbin calmly asked, somewhat hoping for an answer.

"nothing much, he was an annoying one though. he was so persistent to talk to me, he wouldn't shut up." seungmin replied, slightly changing his expression from what happened earlier.

"yeah, he's a talkative type of person. he was just trying to get along that's why." he said to which seungmin sighed even more.

"i don't care, he was interrupting my reading time. you should've warned him not to come up to me." he responded before muttering to himself. "it just had to be me he comes up to." 

changbin shrugged in response, now leaning against the cell. "i didn't expect him to come to you but my bad. i just came here to tell you to stay away from him. sorry to say this but you're a bad influence towards him, i don't need any more trouble than i already have." 

the younger coldly scoffed at his words, looking back down to his book. "as if i wanna deal with his annoying ass. he was the one who came up to me, i couldn't care less if i'm a bad influence. in fact, i should tell you that instead, keep him away from me." 

"i'll try though i don't know if he'll listen or not. well, if you didn't say anything in particular to him then i guess i'll get going, sorry i interrupted your alone time." changbin explained, about to walk away when seungmin suddenly interrupted.

"since when were you so worried about him?" he began, only to make changbin turn around.

"isn't that my duty? to take care of these matters?" changbin questioned as he shrugged in response.

"doesn't seem like it though. it looks as if you genuinely care about him, not to mention the fact that he wanted to be closer to you." seungmin reasoned, staring thoroughly at him. 

there was silence for a moment, just changbin continuing to stare unknowingly at him. that was when he smiled reassuringly, causing the younger to raise his eyebrow in awareness. 

"and you don't have to worry about that. even if he wants to be closer to me, it won't happen. i won't allow it."

"wanting to be closer huh? yeah, that's not gonna happen." changbin silently mumbled to himself as he was on his phone, endlessly rocking back and forth in his chair.
