It really was a beautiful speech. And the way he stood up there, in front of everyone. It was one of the most vulnerable sights I've seen. He didn't seem to notice anyone else though. He just poured out all he felt, into the best words he had, and hoped it would be enough. Remarkable.

Jackie's POV

"God some people actually have to use the bathroom to pee you know!" I yell while banging on the door for the fifth time. Max Stanley has been in there mediocrally fucking this girl's brains out for the past 20 minutes. This is my last hope for a bathroom seeing that the only other one in this house is being occupied by Lisa Marie and her vomit. And as sweet as she was to offer the bathroom to me, she looked like she would've ended up hurling on my lap the moment I sat down. So I decided my best chance was here.

I thought Max would've been done by now, seeing that he's never lasted past 6 minutes before. I bang my head against the door, "Come on Max! You chose the worst time to finally try boner pills!"

The door finally swings open, and I'm surprised to see it's not Max.
"Boner pills?" He questions me, a smirk evident on his face.
"Dylan? I thought Max was in there with some girl?" I say, wondering how I missed my opportunity to use the bathroom.
He laughs, "Yeah he was. He, um.. finished up right after you walked away I'm guessing?" I roll my eyes.
"Of fucking course he did. What were you even doing in there for so long anyways?" I ask, annoyed.
He goes to answer but I walk past him into the bathroom.
"Nevermind." I say right before closing and locking the door. The worst part about these high school party's is the lack of ability to actually use a restroom for the purpose it was made for. After taking the longest pee of my life, I wash my hands and attempt to clean my face up a bit.

I didn't even know Dylan was here tonight. Usually if there's a chance of seeing his sister drunk off her ass, he's nowhere to be found. Guess tonight was an exception since it's the first party of his senior year (and my junior). When I finally get back downstairs, Avery ( Dylan's sister, and my best friend since kindergarten), is screaming as she wins yet another game of beer pong. Her arms fly in the air and she grabs onto the nearest guy there, wrapping her arms around his neck tight. Theo reciprocates by grabbing onto her waist and spinning her in the air. I approach them at the same time Jayden does.
"What happened?" He asks me.
"Avery won beer pong. Again." He starts clapping.
"Whoo!! That's my girl!" He shouts. Avery slips away from Theo and over to her boyfriend. He lifts her straight up into the air and back down into a kiss that would be way too much for public, if the public wasn't so drunk they'd forget it in the next five minutes.

She pulls back for air and turns to see me.
"Jackie! Where the hell have you been?" She extends her hand and I grab a hold. "On yet another bathroom adventure. Took a total of 27 minutes this time. And it featured your brother." She makes a disgusted face at me.
"Ew my brother? I didn't even know he was here tonight. Must be hiding in a corner somewhere." She lifts her stereotypical typical red solo cup to her mouth and downs whatever was in it. "I'm gonna go get something else to drink. Want anything babe?" She asks, backing away from his grip.
"Uh, just get me a beer." She nods and walks towards the kitchen, dragging me with her. She starts to sift through all the alcohol and finally decides on rum and coke.
"Can you grab me a bottle opener? If I don't open his beer for him then he'll insist on doing his party trick of opening it with his teeth." She says with an eye roll.

I start rummaging the kitchen and spot one on the table where Dylan seems to have been hiding all night. When I go to grab it, he snatches it to open a beer of his own.
"Can I have that? Your sister needs it." I ask politely, he glances over at his sister, who is impatiently waiting for the bottle opener and back at me.
"Hate to keep the princess waiting." He says with a sigh and tosses it towards me, from the same hand that he holds the bottle. Beer flies all over my white shirt, turning it see through in seconds. Guys start to Hollar and whistle, Dylan walks around the table to me.
"Alright shut up everyone" he shouts at them. He looks at me.
"Sorry bout that, it wasn't intentional."
I roll my eyes.
"Sure it wasn't." Avery walks over and grabs the bottle opener.
"Really Dylan? God you're so immature. Go get her cleaned up. It's the least you can do." She says before walking away with her drinks.

"Come on. She's right, for once. It's the least I can do." I reluctantly follow him upstairs to the bathroom I had just fought so hard to get into a few minutes ago. He opens the door and pulls me in, closing the door behind him.
"I can rinse the beer out of my shirt just fine dipshit. The issue is how you can see my tits through it now." He takes his shirt off.
"Not that, that's much of an issue." He hands it to me. "But here. A much less see through shirt." I take it from his hand and try not to look at his toned body. Dylan isn't much into the gym, and he doesn't play a sport or anything, but you could never tell by looking at him now.
"Thanks. Now out, you've seen enough of me already." I say. He chuckles and then leaves the bathroom.

Dylan's POV

I zip up my hoodie and walk out of the bathroom, per Jackie's request. Not that I'd want to stay. I've known the girl since she was 5, and the last thing either of us wants is for me to see her shirtless. Heading downstairs I can hear Pez shouting from the living room.
"Your fucking crazy bro!" I walk in and see him and May in a stance war. May is only 5'3 but she holds her own well. She's fierce, and the way her hips hold her up, you sometimes forget the lack of height. She whips her wavy brunette hair towards me.
"Can you tell your 'friend' to watch his fucking mouth!"
Whatever it is he's said, he's clearly struck a nerve. "
What did he even say?"  I ask.
Arms crossed just below her chest, she says. "He's calling me a fucking liar."
That's it? Why is she so dramatic sometimes?
"Your crazy ass girlfriend is trying to cheat me out of my money." He says with an exasperated sigh.
She slaps him across the face.
"Don't you ever call me that again!"
Now she's done it. Pez looks at me with a wild fire in his eyes.
"Get the fucking Energizer Bunny under control!"
I bravely step between them and pull her back. Why she owes him money at all is beyond me but I'll ask her about it later. I know Pez is a dealer, but she's never bought anything from him before. Pez is a chill dude, he gets his name from the way he deals, giving you the drugs in a Pez dispenser. It started as a novelty joke, but it ended up working really well. No one bats an eye when they see you pass a Pez head to someone so he was able to pick up a lot of business at school.
"How much does she owe you?" I ask him. She butts in.
"Nothing."
He rolls his eyes.
"Fifty bucks."
I pull out my wallet and grab two twenties and a ten.
"Here. We good?" I ask. He glances over at her and then back to me.
"Yeah, we're good."
I turn back to May and extend my hand to her. She reluctantly takes it and I walk her through the crowded living room and to the bathroom, catching the stare of my sister as we walk in.

Avery's POV

I watch my brother and May walk into the downstairs bathroom and roll my eyes. His little Latina girlfriend is a constant ticking time bomb and it seems like every minute she finds a reason to break up with him only to get back together with him the next day. God only knows why he puts up with it. Guess she must be good in bed or something.

Why must every party be so loud? I don't think the ringing in my ears will ever stop.
"So, beer bong champion is going on the resume right?" Theo says as he walks up to me. I laugh
"Resume and all my college applications." I retort. He leans on the couch with me. "So this is the start of junior year huh? Getting trashed at a party and trying to sneak into our houses without parents catching us?" He says with a laugh.
"Not for me, parents are out on business." I say and take a sip of my drink. He looks down at his shoes and doesn't say anything. After a moment I nudge his shoe. He does it back and I smile just a little. I lean my body into his and let out a sigh.
"If your life was a TV show, what genre would it be?" I ask him. Without hesitation he answers.
"A docuseries." He firmly states.
"What about?" I question. He tilts his ever so slightly.
"On how to get noticed." His voice is soft. I respond even softer.
"I notice you." He looks down at me, staring just long enough.
"Well great, now you got my show canceled." He jokes. I roll my eyes, it seems he never can keep a serious conversation going.
"This whole thing is overrated." I state. I stand up and turn around, grabbing his hand.
"Wanna get out of here Teddy?" I ask him. He smiles for a moment but then lets go of my hand.
"I don't think so." He fumbles out. I feel arms drape around my shoulders.
"So, after party at your place or what?" Jayden says. I look up at him and he kisses me quickly. I hold onto his arms.
"Yes, but only for the vip's." I say staring at Theo.
"A'ight Theodore, you heard the lady. And there'll be no refusing. Now go find Jackie so we can get the hell out of here." He says and then picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. I start to giggle as he carries me out of the house.
