𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗔 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 thrown over her sprawled out body, her cheek smushed into the cold pillow as dry mascara stained the silk.

Knocks at her door had her sighing, the door creaking open as it revealed her mother.

"Aria? Are you awake?" Belle stepped around to the edge of her bed, smiling gently at her daughter as she moved the strands off her pale face.

The dark haired girl nodded, keeping her gaze locked on the sun peaking through her closed blinds.

Belle frowned deeply, tossing the new package of makeup wipes on the bed, "clean your face, honey. Take a shower. Get out of bed."

Aria stayed silent, her mother keeping her lips downwards as she exited the room, shutting the door softly behind her.

Within a few minutes of lying down, Aria reached for the blue plastic package, peeling back the top of it as she reached for the damp wipe.

She sat up, her bones aching as she placed it on her face, rubbing it along her skin as it removed the dry mascara staining her eyes.

The next step was harder as she swung her feet over the side of her bed, her palms on each side of her as she keep her balance.

She stood, her shoulders sagging as she walked into the connected bathroom, opening the clear shower doors as she turned the knob, the smoking water spewing out of the removable shower head.

Aria stepped into the shower, the hot water feeling like pins against her skin.

It trickled down her body, making her shiver as she stood underneath the waterfall of hot water, with her head tilted back, she puffed out a breathe.

Her eyes fluttered shut, her fingertips working to knead in the shampoo covering her dry scalp.

With soap dripping down her back, she washed out the scented shampoo, lazily putting conditioner into her open palm, she raked her fingers through her knotted her as the conditioner worked it's way in.

Once she washed out the soap, she quickly washed her body, stepping out into the bitter air as she wrapped the cotton towel around her body.

She stepped onto her cold room, backing up into the door as she gasped loudly.

Sarah sat on the edge of her bed, dressed in shorts and a tank top as she flicked her eyes to the startled girl.

"Sarah?" Aria breathed out, throwing her head back against the door as her heart pounded through her chest.

"Hey, A." Sarah giggled, standing up as she admired her bedroom, "feels like forever since i've seen this room."

Aria smiled sadly, nodding as she hurried over to her dresser, yanking open the draws as she shimmed on undergarments.

"Yeah. It's been a while." She sighed, throwing the towel to the side as she threw on a gray oversized sweater.

Sarah continued to pace around the room, a frown taking over her lips as she ran her fingertips over the broken frame which held their picture together.

"Oh, yeah." Aria cleared her throat, slipping on dark colored shorts as her eyes stayed locked on the wondering blonde, "grief is powerful."

"I'm sorry." Sarah turned to face her, a look of guilt taking over her features, "I never wanted to put you through that. It was the only choice we had."

Aria shook her head, "I know. I'm just happy that you're safe."

The girls threw their arms around each other, rocking back and forth gently as tears built up in their light eyes.

"You're never allowed to leave me." Sarah cried, holding her best friend tightly.

"I promise."

The deja vu hit her suddenly, flashbacks of the blonde boy racing through her mind as he wrapped his pinky around hers, making a promise he knew he'd never been able to keep.

Aria held back a sob as she cuddled her, bringing the bottom of her palm to dry her tears.

"I'm not going anywhere." Aria smiled.

Sarah's phone ringing abruptly had them both furrowing their brows, she reached into her back pocket, fishing out for the newer phone.

"Hello?" Sarah asked, her face being unreadable as the voice on the opposite line spoke, "we will be right there."

"What?" Aria pondered in confusion, their faces dropping in sync.

"It's our dads."
